It is a bit frustrating that some fans are so unrealistic when it comes to football, it's not a case of waving a magic wand and the team play well together. Not to mention we've had Hooper off injured!
It's not mad that our fans booed, it's shameful. And what does it achieve? Creates a negative attitude in the players and drains confidence. That's really helpful when your team is one nil down.
That coupled with almost a total lack of atmosphere at CR - I don't think I've heard it so quiet in the 6 years or so that I've been a season ticket holder!!
That's the point, I think Hughton believes thats what will happen, he ticks this box, that box and voila 3 points.
No, the real point is that in this respect Hughton is absolutely right. Tick the boxes -- that is to say, get the essentials right -- and voilá, the points and the performances will come. Who is the supreme box ticking manager in the Premier League? Wenger. Why are Arsenal constantly top four? Because the boxes are always kept ticked. Why don't they win trophies? Because he can't always get the players he wants who not only tick the box but have the necessary top top quality.
It has been stated today on the Newsnow website that NCFC have only won 5 games from past 26 - Everton (H), Man C (A), WBA (H), Wigan (H) and Swansea (A). I understand that there were 8 draws. Mangers have been sacked for less than this record. Hughton is a genuine guy but seems unable to make the best of this squad. If we are in the bottom three or near the bottom in January it will be very difficult to attract class players to the club. Correction: wins Reading (H) and Southampton (H)
Spell his ****ing name right!!!! He's only been our manager for about fifteen months - it's not Houghton, it's HOOTUN!!!! Ok?
I swear the Houghton spellers tend to be far more against the manager as a percentage. Don't know if it's purposely disparaging or just lack of thought.
@ncgandy Did you hear about the school somewhere in Yorkshire which put up a poster advertising its excellence rating -- containing the word "catergory" (sic)!

wasn't it the tories in the lead up to the 2005 general election who who sent out 30,000 flyers stating: "labour are ruining our pubic services"
