The line between success and failure is so fine now a days that two moments can change a whole season. Take the first two games of the season, if we had defended the one ball into the box we would have taken a point and then the week after if we had defended the one goal we lost late in the game we would have been on four points PDC would have been talking about the fighting spirit I the team and players would be praised as he did after the Mags game. The whole atmosphere could have been different. I still think that the would be a blow up at some time with PDC but he would have had some credit in the bank. The time gained might have let PDC develop as a man manager (or not) Still what if never changes any thing
There have been moments The two you mentioned, JOS getting sent off, Atkinson ruling out Jozy's goal and failing to send of Sagna and Fletcher getting injured leaving us with 10 men (at 1-0) Had they not all gone against us who knows what the current situation would be now
It really does seem like he got a whole lot of bad luck! Things could have been so different. **** you Martin Atkinson.
Results would have made all the difference shirt term and certainly would have kept him in work but ultimately, this confrontational style would have resurfaced. However, if he had been more successful on the pitch he would have got away with more off it too. Then again, if my aunty had bollocks she'd be my uncle too.
Your right but it doesnt change the end result or our position atm, just been speaking to my neighbour who reckons as a club we are fooked (safc fan mind) says the players such as catts, gards, larsson, bardo etc own the club, pdc tried to get rid of the overpaid overatted ****ers and they have caused yet another revolt to protect their salaries, they've done it to bruce, mon and now pdc, 'i'd be suprised if bardo even has a bruise' he said. Whilst i said i didnt agree with him he makes a bloody good point
PDC was man enough to try and change the hierarchy, Byrne and Short were not, they buckled at the first sign of the prima donnas spitting the dummy out when the home truths were told. How can these players ever be motivated if they are going to "run to teacher" whenever they are told what we can all see with our own eyes, they need to get their heads out of their collective backsides, they have talked the talk, its time to walk the walk.
It's easy to see now but for weeks, no months. Everyone in the game said PDC was a ticking time bomb. How I wish he'd proved them wrong. He didn't.
First thing I was taught as a manager is don't slate someone in front of their peers. PDC did it to the world. I can see why they were getting pissed.
His reaction to players performances then his treatment of the away fans at WBA sums him up. All credit to our fan who just stood with his armed outspread and outstared him.
