Wow , I'm thinking that my fellow Jack supporters are feeling the same way as me, that we should at least take something of the Arsenal when they come calling. To underline it, we should be at least taking something ( if not all three points ) off the Premiere League leaders . Living the dream or what! Arsene won't be looking forward to the visit and although Ramsey Ozill and Wilshire are playing well, they will not be relishing facing our possession and movement . Who should we have in midfield as our first phase choice? Should Pozuelo play from the off ? If Hernadez is available should he start ? Your thoughts ?
I'd like to see Poz start ahead of Dyer. He keeps getting better and looks a real gem. For midfield I think Leon and Shelvey. If we go a goal up then bring Canas on and stick him on Ozil. My only concern is that Shelvey can be error prone in the deep role and has no-one behind him in midfield to recover the ball. Going forward he's great but he's never going to displace Michu in AM role. Still, his passing range will be useful against the Gunners. Ramsey and Ozil are dangerous but then so are Michu and Bony. I reckon we could win but will have to be at our best. It should be a great game though with lots of nice passing from both teams.
Should be a cracking game to watch and as long as we play well I will be happy win or lose. Should be interesting to see the team selections with both sides cramming a lot of matches in.
No it's not. It's your turn to do the match thread you lazy bastard. You do the home games and I'll do the away ones with Mr G doing the European games
My team would be Usual back line Canas, shelvey Dyer, michu, routlage Bony Dyer has played well in the last 2 outings so a bit unjustified to drop him. Shelvey can either be a world beater or a risk, but a rusk wirth taking in my opinion. Canas just edges it for me only on recent form. Poz is not ready to start IMO, great if we're dominating the game but needs to be more disciplined with his positioning. But I trust laudrup to field the right players for the right games. He knows the squad much better than any one on here.
I think you wont be far wrong with that line up Swan. Canas is doing a good job of breaking things up at the moment so I reckon he will get the nod. Arsenal look great going forward but also vulnerable at the back, I think they will sit their midfield a bit deeper to start with which will give us room but we must be careful that they dont catch us on the break.
Just been told the Academy have rearranged the U10's 12 & who ever else from a home game on the Sunday to an away game on Saturday to WBA , so torn between taking a chance going away and rushing back or not chancing it at all .
