That will probably depend on attitudes and behind the scenes factors that we do not know anything about so it will be hard for us to guess the team on that basis

    Ball ready for cup test

    Published: 23 September, 2013
    by SAFSee

Interim head coach speaks to SAFSee.

Former Sunderland captain Kevin Ball caught up with SAFSee as he prepares to step into the dugout at the Stadium of Light tomorrow night.

Ball, the club's senior professional development coach, became interim head coach after the club parted company with Paolo Di Canio on Sunday.

He will take charge of the team against Peterborough United tomorrow night and led training at the Academy of Light on Monday morning.

His son tweeted he was up and out of the door at 6.30 this morning to go to the ground and very excited.

Maybe he has been told have 3 games and see what happens. Love Bally to be our manager tbh but could he if the job?

Not sure Bally could do the job full time.

I would love for him to do well & give ES something to think about. I do think we will appoint someone else full time another Italian with the director & scouts we have. Whoever the next manager is its **** or bust for ES.

Exactly so. Want nothing more to do with him.

I wouldn`t be at all surprised if he was niggling away behind the scenes, get rid asap.

He was the one who went public in the first instance, in the casino, flouting PDC`s authority. He has a lot to answer for imo.

    We need to put a full strength squad out i reckon. A good win for the first team players will give everyone a massive confidence boost. If Jozy and Borini are up front and could bag a couple it would do them the world of good. I would go with;

    Westy
    Celutska Diakete Roberge Colback
    Giacherrini Catts Ki Johnson
    Jozy Borini

Bench - Vito, O'Shea, Cuellar, Seb, Gards, Mavrias, Wickham (is he fit?)

Ive deliberatly swapped the wingers round an all. I think them cutting inside hasnt worked, so if we can get crosses in (like the Summerbee, Johnson days) i think Jozy would really thrive.

Wasn't Johnston right footed but played on the left?

And to answer the question, no idea, it doesn't need to be the best team, but the most hungry. Alothugh hte word 'most' might be a tad superfluous.

How bad is it that ive actually forgotten about him? lol. But even so after the dismal performance and attitude for the under 21's i think he has got a lot of ground to make up
