His man-management skills were practically non-existent - however the Sunderland board would surely of known that from what happened at Swindon. This was always going to be a gamble - it's has not worked out (though he did keep you up) - now you need someone who can galvanise what you have. Poyet is available?
It's some of the players who can't be managed mate. Ask Jack Colback about his player management. He's twice the player now.
some of the stuff coming out now suggests that PDC simply cannot handle man management. Its a skill, unfortunately, he doesn't have it.
I'd love to see Poyet here but then again. I was over the moon with PDC. It's becoming clear the players knifed our manager in the back. Really not sure who could get anything out of our over paid lazy arse wipes.
But bruce was failing to get anything out them, and so was O'Neil. There's a couple of bad eggs in that dressing and they're poison to the club imo. Love to know who they are.
Reading some if the papers today it's a wonder PDC lasted 5 games IMO. Larsson dropped just for asking why he was not used during arsenal game; demands that the squad speak English but then talking in his native tongue to staff and Italian players; arrogantly arguing with senior players; players fearing they would be cut adrift by Christmas and a blazing row culminating in his dismissal. If he had been in charge for a number of months or years and was behaving this way pay, you earn the right but to come in with all these rules, bizarre tactics and publicly digging at his players in the press, he made the crucial error of going into battle without his troops. Like it or not, players do wield power so is it not better to manage that situation of just fight with it? This shows a staggering ineptitude on his behalf to manage at this level and I don't think any other EPL club will be offering him the opportunity in the foreseeable future either.

Hmm, so you get a new boss at work and you will not work to his say so until you feel he is a canny lad............no, you would be out on your arse, why should it be different for players on a kings ransom, who the whole world can see are not playing to their potential and can I add have not under several managers? I would be fining the ring leaders a weeks pay, otherwise they will be doing it again when they cannot get an afternoon off to go to the tanning booth or have a round of golf. Thye will be down the casino tonight with Bardsley
If everyone in an office got together and approached the directors of a company to express their concerns, seasoned campaigners too, then any owner would be foolish not to listen and ignore them. Managers need to manage both people and situations as well as the actual job in hand, in any business and Di Canio failed miserably on all 3 fronts. I simply find it staggering that he managed to last as long as he did tbh and if any other club would want his style or lack of it. There will be no rush to offer him a job in this division or the championship.
This all day long. Westwood, Brown, O'Shea, Bardsley, Larsson, Gardner, Colback, Vaughan, Cattermole, Wickham & Ji have been through 3 managers (Bards 5) in their time at the club. To me that states that they are clearly not good enough.
Exactly mate, there's a couple of rats on that list there and I'd love to see them identified and got shot of
