I´ll try this again As tomorrow we wend Our way down to the Vicarage plot, To meet up with Zola At the Watford tombola Hoping to take the jackpot, And although 6 -3 As against Bury Seems unlikely here, I would say, Goals there should be As Watford score free And we´re due a hatful some day, But this should be close With maybe a dose Of extra-time too on the night, And then, well who knows If a fair wind blows The next round may just be in sight. OTBC My prediction - 1-1, extra time and penalties.
https://twitter.com/NorwichCityFC Mark Bunn is up, Josh Murphy and Hooper is playing according to twitter. Injury to Bassong not too bad so he should be good for the Stoke game, not sure about the others but shouldn't we be playing a stronger team than that?(excluding Hooper), Watford nearly got promoted last season.
Really happy that Josh Murphy is in the squad. Even if he only gets a ten minute run out I think its good that they are exposed to competitive matches. He is obviously a talent despite still being very raw.
http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...685?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed More on the Watford lineup, RVW apparently has a toe injury!
someone spotted rvw on crutches yesterday - purely precautionary. great for young josh murphy to be involved, though of course people will moan that he's not experienced enough and we should be playing a full strength team. these will probably be the same people moaning that we didn't play a couple of youngsters against bury
I've got no issues with Josh but I think we should play the strongest team possible as Watford are one of the top Championship sides and it will be a tough game. Mind you we don't know who the other players are yet!
sure, he's just in the squad. i'd like to see him get a game though. it might be a boost to the fans, one of their own to get behind. he's not ready for the premier league so cup games are a good opportunity until we get him out on loan
will be interesting to see how strong a team watford put out, they are top six in the league. will they rest some players. either way, it's going to be a toughie for us.
Yep I reckon something like Bunn Whittaker Ayala Bennett Olsson Johnson Snodgrass Tettey Pilkington Hoolahan Hooper
Ayala played for the Under-21s today. So maybe Russ M will play at CB if Turner doesn't. CH prefers to have one or other of Bassong or Martin on the pitch I think. Otherwise that looks to me a likely starting eleven.
It's a bit of a joke david fox is playing under 21 football today and not going to be considered for a league cup match now. I know people said he got his chances last year but the few he got spread over the time last year was insulting, whilst howson was appalling and tettey not match fit. I actually find it quite insulting and disrespectful can't imagine how he feels. Fer and Fox could be such a good midfield combo, he could be the carrick to a fellaini, arteta to a song, cabaye to a tiote. Horrific waste of players through lack of rotation at the end of the system made us too predictable and we haven't developed at all these games should be the time he takes to really consider alternatives
@NorwichCityFC: #ncfc team v @watfordfcsays: Bunn; Whittaker, Martin (c), R Bennett, Garrido; Redmond, Tettey, Johnson, Olsson; Hoolahan; Hooper. Playing all 4 of our full backs. Interesting.
Trying out redmond on the right, giving olsson some match fitness not a surprising line up at all. Hope it's enough to see us through and see josh murphy get a run out
Seems odd that Tettey and Johnson start very similar type of player, both ball winners rather than creative CM's IMO ?
I like it, I though it might be something like that. Nobody can surely complain about that starting line up? Who's on the bench?
Waas Hootun playun aat?? 5 at t'back against Watfud? 'N where's the support for 'Ooper, he's a helluva plaar, but against chumpyunship opoarsition we shud 'ave two strikers at least buh! Nah, seems fairly sensible. Depending on bench options (and the state of the game), I'd like to see Olsson move to LB after 60 mins with Josh Murphy coming on.
Oh BBC live-text you kill me sometimes...: "Watford v Norwich could be entertaining. Both attacking teams with something to prove tonight."
