<peacedove>The wait has been like eternity, it is over, Suarez is back . It cannot be at a better time especially Coutinho is injured.
As fate would have it, his first game in the Capital cup at Old Trafford. The question in the lip of every one is "where do we play Suarez?.
Sturridge has been on fire, and I must admit that we need to give him some respect and play him in his present position.
Suarez can create and score goals. We need goals, goals win games.
While Coutinho is receiving treatment (a) Where do we play Suarez?.
When Coutinho is back and fit to play (b)Where do we play Suarez.
You would agree with me that Coutinho and Suarez should always be on the team sheet.

Sturridginho needs to be our cf. Suarez needs to play AMR as an inside forwards with license to cut in as he sees fit.

We are weak on right flank at moment and adding him there will help balance us out.

Imo we switch to a 4-4-2 (like we should have on Saturday) and play Suarez up with Studge.

    This^ especially when Coutinho returns.

But as someone else stated BR wants a very mobile front 4 with overlapping FB's so as long as the chemistry between Mose, Sturridge, Coutinho & Suarez works, it doesn't matter.

Except....I fear that Suarez is far too greedy for it to work. He passes deliberately wide to insure the return pass, he takes on one too many players & loses the ball, which will stop the other three making runs, which in turn encourages him to continue to do it all himself or worse we over commit with the expectation of him passing, he loses it, the opposition counters & overwhelms our DM & 2 CB's and we go behind...

    Pretty much like last year.....

Rodgers said that Suarez is chomping at the bit <yikes> What is he chomping on a baseball bat?

I'd like to think he said that on purpose.

A selfish show-boat. Sounds tailor made for Real Madrid they have half a squad of them. £86 million please!

    where would i play him?

simple really... he is a world class right sided forward and this si about the only place he'd get near reals side in.

Sturridge up top as target (if mingolet learns to aim the clearances he is doing) Suarez getting beyond him from there and defending in fornt of RB. ESPECIALLY when johnson is back.

I would also make sure he is up against evra on his return just for kicks.... no literally one will kick the other who cares which way round?

Suarez's lay offs and distribution from false 9 position were poor frnakly and he came way way too deep so we never got someone in the box.

disaster waiting to happen.... mind you if no RB then we may have to go 4-5-1 to push on utds full backs as all utd have is width... if we negate thier width with moses and suarez going wide and cutting down the full backs pushing on... we have a chance.

I'd play him in the hole until Ford returns.

When ford returns Id play a front 3 of Moses, Studge and Suarez. Almost giving Suarez a free role to do his ting - interchanging with Studge when Studge gets pulled out wide etc etc...

Suarez is intelligent enough to be given a free role and he'll know exactly where he needs to be when he needs to be there.

So basically when Ford is back slot Suarez in for Aspas, but with much more freedom.
