So sorry to hear about this. I'm not sure I could bear to lose any of my closest family. I hope the memories you have of him can put a smile on your face, because it's those thoughts that'll get you through your hardest times.
Yes I knew the area although it is all knocked down now but your dad was born a couple of years before me, as for Kingston High along with Riley High it was a desirable school to go to if you passed your 11+, of course today its give way to Sirius Academy. But whatever Dids were were from the same era and same area and although I may seem harsh, move on but never forget him , never for a day, never it my wildest dreams when living down Hawthorn did I think that one day I would be a dad and granddad that only happened to other blokes. And if anyone had told me back then that by the year 2013 houses would be built on the sacred ground of BP I would have been ringing up De La Pole hospital saying there was another patient for them.
