01 K Davis 02 Clyne 03 Yoshida 06 Fonte 13 Fox 08 S Davis 10 Ramirez 18 Cork 27 Isgrove (Rowe - 72' ) 09 Rodriguez (Reed - 81' ) 24 Mayuka (Sinclair - 90' ) Looking forward to this one. My first game this year after being poorly, lets hope the feel-good vibe continues.
I'd like to see something like this: Davis Chambers Yoshida Hooiveld Targett Cork Ward-Prowse Guly Ramirez Isgrove Rodriguez From his twitter, it seems that Targett will be involved in some sense, so it seems to make sense to give him his debut if he's as good as people say and Fox is still injured. The rest of the team is what I believe to be the players in second choice at the moment - I think that Rodriguez should be dropped for either Ramirez or Steven Davis next weekend so that's why I'd play him on Tuesday. I also want to see Ward-Prowse played at either CM or CAM as I think this is where he'll end up, and this is a good chance for him to get some decent game time in either of those positions.
Actually, I forgot about our defence then. Would definitely give Hooiveld a go in defence, with chambers at right back instead of Clyne.
Am really happy to have another match so quickly and one that isn't so stressful to follow. That's what I love about being in cups...just a bit of fun (until the later stages). And I love cup draws...I still have that childish delight in watching out for the numbers....I hope they never replace that by a computer.
A team like us has the best chance in the League Cup...we are made for it. I agree about the FA Cup....love seeing a little minnow drawing a big side and a good payday.
Davis Chambers Jos Maya Target Davis Cork Jwp Ramirez Isgrove Guly/ any striker! Gazza Turnbull Stephens Reed Rowe Sinclair Lee/ any senior striker Bit risky with no senior options on the bench but it should be enough with Bristol city being a bit leaky and in poor form
Almost replacing our first eleven with the 'second string' will be a real test of our plan to get every team right down to the u18s playing the same style and being able to step in when required. So often, a top side replaces just a few players and gets turned over by minnows not given enough respect. I don't think this will be true in our case...we have quality on the bench and a very positive attitude amongst all the players. Still, it will be interesting to see. I really want to progress in this cup.
Absolutely. For once I'll even take the Swansea comparison that people so disliked last year! My ambition for this season is to finish top 8 and win the League Cup. Saw enough Saturday to suggest this is not unrealistic.
Is someone doing a match fred for this? Ref: Graham Scott Linos: Darren Blunden, Dan Robathan Fourth Official: Gavin Ward
Wouldn't mind seeing Osvaldo start tomorrow. He has been very close to getting a goal, and tomorrow is a good opportunity for him to get one before the league stuff resumes on Saturday.
Davis Chambers Fonte Hooiveld Clyne Cork Davis Rodriguez Ramirez Lallana Osvaldo Subs: Boruc Shaw Lovren Schneiderlin Lambert
That is way too strong a lineup for Poch to use. Yoshida should play, and so should isgrove and guly.
