If we keep focused and match their work rate I can see 2-0 to us. Start playing Bertie-Bigbollocks stuff because of Valencia, we'll come unstuck. However, I'm expecting Michael and the boys to be professional, match the energy of Palace and come out on top in what could be a difficult game.
Let's get this thread back up the page. When the fixture list came out,I thought that we would be looking for our first points of the season in this game. Thankfully,I got that wrong, and four points are better than none. Having said that we must win today. Anything less will be a real disaster. Winning in Valencia,is one thing, but failing to beat Palace, well, that will put a lot of unwanted pressure on the team, especially with Arsenal up next. Lawrenson thinks that Palace will relish the chance to upset our apple cart and that "we will be dead on our feet" post Valencia. Hopefully,he will eat his words once again.
I really don't understand the 'dead on our feet' predictions. We only travelled to Spain ffs, and we pretty much played the game at a canter in the end. We made 5 changes to the team that played so well against Liverpool so I'd expect more changes again today, and whoever is selected today will be playing for their place so I don't expect us to be fatigued or complacent. If anything, the media is switching the expectation to Palace and putting the pressure on them to get the result. I've been wrong about these things before, but I can't see past a convincing Swans win today
Quite bloody right Vetch I worked hard on this match thread lets talk about the match!! 2-0 to the Swans. Ps,apologies if I post nosence later I'm in a pub called the Prince George 5 mins away from the ground on pint number 5!!! and I've seen LibertySwan too
That's right,Dill,it's a work of art and rare beauty, and I have bookmarked it for posterity!!! A reprise of the 0-5 QPR result would please me no end. Perhaps you could organise that. Michu 2; Bony 2,and one for Shelvey.
SWANS SUBS: Tremmel, Amat, Tiendalli, Britton, De Guzman, Pozuelo, Bony. Surprised no Leon. He was fantastic against Liverpool.
PALACE: Julian Speroni, Adrian Mariappa, Damien Delaney, Danny Gabbidon, Dean Moxey, Jason Puncheon, Mile Jedinak (capt), Adlene Guedioura, Barry Bannan, Cameron Jerome, Marouane Chamakh. SUBS: Neil Alexander, Stuart O'Keefe, Jose Campana, Jimmy Kebe, Jerome Thomas, Dwight Gayle, Kevin Phillips. Williams still out injured.
3-0 Swans. have Seagulls fans for friends, they are begging us to tank Palace hehe Come on you Swans!
A chance to see what Vazquez can do .... and Poz is still on the bench in a Prem game. What does he have to do to look better than Dyer.
Totally agree Yankee, Poz has been great and Dyer looks quite average at best recently. Maybe a goal or assist today off the bench will be enough to get him that starting 11 spot?
