Basically someone needs to get in front of Vettel at the first corner for there to be a chance of anything resembling a race. That or Grosjean to do... well his thing.
Don't give up hope! There's so much to be salvaged from this-- Pfft haha, couldn't say that with a straight face.
Sky are lucky that the Man City v Man Utd game is at 4pm, if it was earlier there'd only be about 4 people watching the race tomorrow
Congratulations to Vettel for another dominant pole. Guy's the fastest on the grid. Hopefully Rosberg/Grosjean/Webber will be interesting. Congratulations also to Gutierrez, Massa and Bottas for outqualifying their team-mates. Still worried that it will be an extremely dull race.
It is the end. Car is too slow and points gap is too big. EDIT: Ferrari have given up. Massa just confirmed to Italian media that there's no more updates for 2013.
Even the pundits are getting desperate to stoke up interest now, basically their jobs could be on the line as loss of interest in the sport means less need for them to do their job
I actually reckon Vettel only did that so Mark couldn't break his clause for next year and drive for Ferrari in 2012.
It's a shame that Mark didn't see through that - we could have ended up with an F1 race where neither driver wanted to win, would have been quite funny
Mmm, but now we all know Webber hasn't given a **** for years now. Still, it must be demoralising driving Vettel's car.
Upon reflection Ferrari's grunt in development is now behind Mercedes, only the Silverarrows can keep up with Red Bull now.
It's amazing, just when it looked like there might be a fight for the title (pre Spa) the Red Bulls become even more dominant, looking like they're glued to the track and Vettel has all but won the championship. You'd think they had something in reserve for the second half of every season. It seems that whatever cards any team might play RB will always trump them and have a better car regardless of circuit and conditions. As brilliant as Newey is surely that can't be down to just one man. I hope today at least provides an entertaining race and not endless interviews outside the RB garage.
In FP2 Vettel was over a second faster than the others on the race simulations. The only chance we have is a gearbox failure.
