Newcastle United v Hull City - Official Build Up / Match Day Thread

Hull obviously set up to defend and attack down their left hand side. Can see them attacking Debuchy and doubling up on HBA. Obviously they have done their homework, but they are leaving the rest of the pitch underdefended. Lets hope we can push on in the second half and that the second goal knocked the wind out of Hulls sails.

 

If we can apply 10-15% more pressure in terms of defending and attacking a little more vigorously and keep organized at the back then we can absolutely whitewash them in the second half and get that elusive win with a 2 goal gap.

 

Well, that lead lasted. Poor defending at a set piece, fair play to Hull.

 

I don't want to jinx it, but had Danny Graham been a bit less rubbish we'd be at least a goal down now.

 

Guaranteed goal for him now.

 

Is anyone else's patience with Cisse running out?

 

It seems like as soon as our confidence takes a little knock, we revert to punting balls in. We need to be more resiliant. Hulls midfield has been pretty solid mind.

 

That was a fantastic goal by their guy.. but really if Santon had just passed the ****ing ball into Remy that would never happen.

Santon and Debuchy just aren't good enough. They're letting us down time and time again giving away possession trying to do useless ****. So annoying. Losing to hull would be really disappointing.

And now they let Santon take that freekick... WTF

I'm just getting more and more annoyed with Debuchy and Santon. Trying fancy flicks when we're losing to a promoted side at home. Hoofing the ball straight up top time and time again, shooting from 40 yards out.

How the hell can you allow Hull to score three goals. Mind boggling stuff

 

They've looked pretty decent to be fair to them. Targeted our weak spots.

Debuchy looks good on his day but if things aren't going our way you always worry. Glad he's off.

 

This is why Pardew is a ****. If we're winning in the first half you better believe we'll give them an equalizer in the second. How often does this happen? What the hell is he saying at half-time? We've seen it time and time again. He's no interest in getting further goals, but just sitting back and defending, which, evidently, we can't do.

The worst thing is that Pardew will resort to his favourites now. Next game Tiote will come back in for Anita, Saylor for Mapou, Shola for Cisse.

Can't see why Pards is to blame really. Second goal everyone went to sleep, zero marking. You think that's on the managers instruction? and losing Cabaye killed our game. Not 3 passes strung together since then. Just hoofing it up. All credit to Hull they played well and beat us square and fair.
