All Arsenal fans have experienced the frustrations of the last eight years - and we're all united in wanting success for the club. There has though, been a tangible split between those who think the answer to winning trophies again is to sack Wenger and those who think he's doing a decent job under difficult circumstances.

So with Arsenal continuing their good form from the end of last season and sitting near the top of the PL, Wenger having delivered on spending proper money on 'Top top quality', with us starting well in the CL and generally looking in decent shape for the season, do those who were calling for his head think that it might be best to stick with Wenger ? Or do they still want him out ?

The signing of Ozil is hopefully that start of a new era and I do think that one signing alone has changed the entire outlook of the club. We are now buying the best instead of selling them. I think the next step for us is to clearly end eight year trophy drought and build a proper squad to mount a serious shot at the title, because the current squad is not good enough to do that, IMO.

Too early to post this kind of poll. We are now out of austerity and Wenger has been given a large transfer budget. The Arsenal team is a team he has assembled over many years and he will now be judged on performace of the team now. I think we need to wait until the end of the season before discussing this. Until then, I will wait until the end of the season to vote.

I don't think Wenger delivered. He bought a player who is world class yes, but it was a predominantly awful transfer window and most of the holes in the squad remain. Signing Ozil essentially saved his bacon & bought him some time.

Its a month in to the season - way too early to judge. I did say before the season starts that as long as we make progress this year I don't see an issue in handing him a new contract. If we see the same regression/stagnation we have done in the last 4 years than get rid. If we mount a serious challenge for the title and cups I would give him a new contract whether we win them or not as to me that is improvement however if we get knocked out early and then limp to 4th - it maybe time for him to move on.

I'd say he's bought himself until the end of next summer's transfer window. Not signing anyone in January would be a problem. Finishing 4th and getting nowhere in the Cups would be another. There could be almost as much pressure on him next summer if that were to happen.

For me Wenger did deliver. My big question was wether Wenger was willing to spend 'big bucks' when the resources were available.

He brought in a Marquee signing which was exactly what the Club and the fans needed.

He did fail to bring in a striker (not for lack of trying mind) but Ozil and Flamini were both astute signings.

I was originally going to call this thread, Are the Wenger out brigade starting to reconsider ?

Perhaps that would have been a better question to ask at this stage.

You should ask this again after a defeat. You voting will be very different.

How fickle are some of you? He signs one player and you all think he's changed his ways?

It's still the same old Arsene, he's still a liability, and he still needs to be replaced.

Also, it's a disgrace that none of our "fans" seem blindly aware what a liability Wenger is. It's like he has a 7 step plan to destroy us

    1. He sells all our star players
    2. He deliberately scouts inadequate youth
    3. He upsets our top players by paying reserves stupid wages
    4. He then proceeds to gut the squad without signing replacements
    5. He blows £42 million on a player we don't need, while failing to address areas we do need, thus we end up playing JW as a LW.
    6. The 42 million ruins our balance should we need emergency reinforcements in January, because the squad is still a ****ing joke.
    7. He's going to ruin us, long term we're ****ed. All top players bar Ozil (who's a mercenary) rejected us.

Hmm. The vast majority of the votes say they never wanted him gone with the only "Yes" being a Manc and Kyle.
