First time ever starting a thread so hope it sets up grand Few bets for me tomoro on what i think is a nice looking day of racing. Lucky 15 e/w: Bop It 4.00 8/1 No Leaf Clover 1.50 13/2 Magic City 4.50 4/1 Quick Jack 4.40 9/2 Decent single also on Aetna 2.20 Ayr @ 9/2 and Pupil 3.40 Newbury 5/2 who I was very impressed by LTO. Anybody an opinion on Continuum tomorrow? I personaly think he'll take a lot of beating but a few concerns shown by others on the ground front. Anyways good luck to all ! Hope we all have a profitable day!
Copied from Thursday's thread "Tempted to have a big plunge on Bop It tomorrow (Ayr 4.00). As I'm looking at the race my little dog is barking and his name is Bee Bop. Been running well without winning until running his best race on soft lto. Must be an omen. PS. In case anyone thinks that's an odd name for a dog, we also had his litter sister who was the first to be named, her name being Lula (RIP)." PS Didn't realise it was 8/1. Definite ew shot.
Bop It Bop it Bop it It must mean we are on to a good thing if the first three posts are all shouting the same horse. I have been taking it easy since the ground turned but am having a decent bet tomorrow on Bop It. I think this horse is well ahead of the handicapper and will win well, very confident and have already taken 8's with betvictor. Ayr 2.40 Even Stevens 28-1 EW 3.25 Albert Bridge 5-1 4.00 Bop It 8-1 NAP
15.05 Newbury - Goodwood Mirage - 7/2 NAP Cracking 3 yo form and imo has the best in the race. Pulled like a train lto but qas very well treated during the race when ted new he had no chance he eased him down so will feeel nothin from the race will like the ground and thr trip and if he runs like his last few runs apart from the lto he will be up there
One of the owners has told my friend that they expect a big run from 'See No Ships' in the first at Newbury.
Good morning! Stick: The obsceneties are over, all back to normal. .............................................................................................................................. Ron: Just a quick flash of Bela Lugosi appearing on the screen! ..............................................................................................................................
I really hope Hidden Cyclone can have a good season over fences and finally fulfill his promise. Shark sends him to Listowel for his pipe-opener today and I'll be looking for him to hack up. In the race after, Ruby's mount Shamar can bounce back to winning ways and in the closing maiden hurdle, bumper winner Merrion Row should go really well.
A few I like today: Ayr 3.25 Scatter Dice 12/1 e/w Can come back to form now dropped in class and back down to last winning mark. Ayr 4.00 Farlow 18/1 e/w Ran well LTO over 7f, drop back in trip should not inconvenience him. Newcastle 2.40 Dark Ruler 20/1 e/w Goes well when there is cut in the ground, could out run his price here. Newcastle 3.15 Gold Show 3/1 1lb below last winning mark. A e/w lucky 15 and e/w singles will do, be lucky!!
Morning, crew. Hope everyone on board well. The key question of the day must be can old boy Cheveton do it yet again in an ‘Ayr Cup’. His record over the last 3 terms reads – 2010 won Bronze Cup, 2011 won Silver Cup, 2012 2nd in Bronze Cup to a horse so well in that one is now a Group winner and some 26 pounds higher! 18/1 if you think he can run another corking race at his time of year! The one that I’ll nominate to the old regular readers though runs across the county line in Royal Berkshire. PINZOLO (3.40 Newbury) did it very nicely at Newmarket, last month, on his racecourse bow, where despite running green he quickened nicely to beat Sudden Wonder and old boy Gosden’s Munjaz (who the trainer had earlier considered good enough to enter in a Listed race, prior to his debut, at the 5 day stage). With that experience in his locker expect Pinzolo to show much improvement today and I can see him maintaining his unbeaten record. Current quotes of 11/4 looks more than fair, methinks. This Derby entry is very well bred as the dam won the ‘Lancashire Oaks’ and was placed at Group 1 level. Good luck to all.
That name reminds me of one of my favourite all time songs by a group called Bauhaus, Bela Lugosi's Dead... 'White on white translucent black capes Back on the rack Bela lugosi's dead The bats have left the bell tower The victims have been bled Red velvet lines the black box Bela lugosi's dead' Not often you hear his name been banded about, nice one Swanny... Might just listen to it for a while...
Interesting as the trainer, Mark Usher, knows what it takes to have a massive priced winner at Newbury. His Miracle of Medinah won a Listed race at the Royal Berkshire track at 33/1 back in July.
Oddy will be pleased with this, as will a few others at this news... Flemenstar set for switch to Tony Martin BY DAVID BAXTER 9:25AM 20 SEP 2013 TOP chaser Flemenstar will not be returning to Peter Casey's yard this season, and will instead join Tony Martin. Owner Stephen Curran had refused to deny the speculation earlier in the month that the eight-year-old would be switching yards, stating that no decision had been made on Flemenstar's future. But the Racing Post understands that the three-time Grade 1 winner will be joining Martin. A tweet from Casey late on Thursday seemed to confirm his stable star is set for a switch. Casey tweeted: "I am so pleased to have achieved 12 runs, eight wins, four placed, €313,749 in prize-money with Flemenstar. Good luck to all in the future." Last season Flemenstar won the Fortria Chase at Navan and John Durkan Chase at Punchestown, before stepping up to 3m, finishing third in the Lexus Chase and runner-up to Sir Des Champs in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown. Flemenstar then dropped back to 2m4f but finished a well-beaten third to Sprinter Sacre in the Melling Chase at Aintree. However, illness was blamed for his post-Christmas efforts, with Flemenstar suffering from a virus, and he had a small wind operation following his last run. Not a great secret, but now we deffo know he wont be with Casey...

66/1 with PP - would be a travesty not to be on if that comes in ! I've done an e/w double with Bop It (9/1) so if this double comes up then I might just retire
Morning all cant find a lot today looks a bit tight so i will just wish you good luck and one for the favourites mash potato
Great news - I'd love to see Ruby ride him, I think they could give Sprinter Sacre alot more to think about over 2m4f than at Aintree the last day. Be interesting to see whether they try 3 miles again or stay at the 2m - 2m4f distances
for those who play the sandancers--be aware that wolves is riding 'slow' --more akin to good/soft--so southwell horses might appreciate it--noticed on monday all the winnners raced on the far rail --away from the stands.......
