Credit where it's due to pardew. I wouln't have guessed it at all, depite us looking much easier on the eye, Newcastle have attempted the fewest long balls so far in this prem season! Feel that might change on taylor's return

Hull are probably going to park the bus and a few long balls over the top might be advantageous.

yeh, questionable if that will work though. Hull have just been promoted from a league where long balls are bread and butter, it's further reasoning for my trepidation. Hope the crowd doesn't get too anxious if we 0-0 at HT as I think them willing us on in attack seems to really get these players motivated

Hi fellas. We haven't parked the bus yet this season so can't see us doing it on Saturday.

We had a tough opening 30 minutes at Chelski then settled down and passed the ball about.

Against Norwich we went most of the game with 10 men and still passed it around and kept them out and went on to win the game.

We should've been two up in the first half at Man City but our finishing let us down and they scored two in the second half.

That's our problem this season, putting the ball in the net. We play some good football and defend well but scoring is our problem. In this League you've got to take your chances or you get punished.

I can see a draw against you fellas and a win would be a bonus, just as long as it's an entertaining day.

Enjoy the day lads, unfortunately I can't make it but there's a good following coming up.

i'm going with a draw here.
everything is pointing towards us winning 2,3,4 nil...so no doubt something will go wrong n we'll walk away with a point.

If you lot are going to come up to play it should be a good game. We played a very attacking game at Villa and would certainly expect a similar approach at home.

We didn't park the bus at Man City or Chelski, don't see why we would against you. There's a decent chance we'll be without half our starting XI the way it's going but we tend to do quite well at your place.

Let's hope for a good attacking game then, that should be good enough for both sets of supporters.

I get where you're coming from - can see it being a late, late Cisse equaliser an'all - cue 'positivity' of we stuck at it, Cisse found the net, blah.

After the Hull game we don't have another home game till we play Liverpool on Sat 19-Oct 12.45pm.

It's going to seem like a hell of a long time.

Then of course we've got the game down the road the week after that. Looking forward very much to that one.

3-1 to the Toon. For once, Baldyheeds's favourite score might just be an outside possibility. Maybe.

Hull always seem to take a decent following so there should be a decent crowd tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to taking my Mackem dad to see a full stadium. He's gonna wear a Toon top anarl.

We need to deal with corners Hull scored a good goal last week through one. We let Benteke have to much room to score one against us.
