    ^ Is right mate.

I'd add 2 things to that. Firstly, that there's now significantly less 'working men' & more middle class people there, due to both the pricing of tickets & the attractive nature of the PL 'product'

Secondly that post the end of terracing, now like minded lads who might all want to sing, can be scattered all over the stand, rather than just heading for the area where they know others who'll be wanting to sing are stood. Which is what makes this designated area idea such a good one.

Yeah you're probably right, I can't get to so many home games now [since crowd phobia set in - not joking btw] - which means you get to about 12 a season? <laugh>

  5. I think this is a really good idea and just shows that Man Utd are yet again ahead of the game.

Only joking mate, I know you go, we've spoken about it before.

Not a fan of crowds myself anymore btw, maybe it's an age thing.

That's contentious. With many it's their first.

Funny thing is if I don't go the game, I rarely watch the whole game on the box - gets me more wound up than being there or possibly a word of warning from my other half about not speaking for the rest of the day if we lose <laugh>

We've been chatting a lot lately though.

You ought to try out that theory, by asking the question at the Oak on a matchday mate.

true, noble did point this out to me forcefully a good while back.

I think generally if you are male and not decrepit then you'll act the clown with the rest 16-40 whatever. if you are all spread out aorund then again that is true..... though generally I think LFC have two issues

    1. people who would sing like me say... well I don't go on the kop as i am slightly wayne's world about it "we're not worthy" etc etc thats just me. so i could be anywhere

    2. people who've no bloody clue want tickets on the kop cos they have a camera and an asian accent and lot of money. these often bring the wife/geisha of whatever. i've seen that loads, well every time i go.

These are not unique to LFC but one thing i strongly feel baout is putting id on season tickets and ending wholesale sale of the 19 games to a travel agent. they rip off the peoepl who come and they rip off the guy selling too. Ok so real fans want to hand off a ticket to say a monday night game or whatever but just put in a bloody hand off system with the ticketing office where you send a mail, here's my ticket number and here's the guy coming etc etc... go do that more than say 5 times and you maybe llose your season ticket.

the club should sell tickets gloablly though one set forum in one set area of the ground. whatever like that i dunno.

anyway... yeah bash the mancs but its idle bashing

Nearest professional footie team to me is a 9 hour drive away. :(

Needless to say I only watch it on TV.

Couldn't care less about DC (nearest) or any American teams.

... now Ice Hockey... used to love going to our local games... stopped going because of all the staged fighting between players that takes place in the minor leagued. Totally fake and reficulous at times.
