Shocked defeat for Chelsea yesterday. The first time Chelsea were beaten at home in ten years in the Champion League.
Back to back defeat. Knowing Roman for his ruthlessness, is Jose going to last if the results are not improving?.
    Vote.

  2. There should be a third option. I don't think it will end in tears as I think Roman will give him a bit more time than his reputation suggests and Jose will work it out in the end, but I do think the Chelsea fans will be disappointed considering their expectations on his return. He won't achieve the same level of success, certainly not as quick as last time anyway.

  3. Oh, and as for "shock defeat", I think that's a bit strong. Yes, they were expected to win or, at the very least, not lose. However, Basel have beaten Man Utd and Tottenham in recent times too, they are not the rubbish Swiss side that people think.

end in tears because his start has not been perfect? People need to stop looking at Mourinho like a messiah who brings instant success to any team. He neds time just like any manager.

Just because he had success in his first season last time doesnt mean he will here. He took years at Madrid.

If it ends in tears it will be Abramavich's fault and it will not be Mourinho's fault, it will be because his employer is unfit for the job.

Maybe what they need is a manager a bit more detached from the players, someone who will ruthlessly drop the old guard if necessary, someone who doesn't do the all lads together bit and so is able to get that extra 10% out of the entrenched and established and will drop them regardless of what the fans think .............

Not sure there are any managers like that about now

    I see S.S.C. Napoli won :)

    1) It's far too early to make a definitive conclusion.

    2) The only reason that I care is that it keeps Chelsea unstable

Roman will give him lots of money in January and summer and Jose will buy all the best already at peak stars.

Everyone will say how good Jose is by winning by buying all the top ranked stars.

Jose needs money and already established talent to win... always has... he never has had an eye for future talent or training an existing squad.

Just been speaking to a client (CEO of a biotech) who's also a Scouse Red. He's had a £5 bet with a chav colleague that Maureen won't last the season.

It's far too early to call this one but .... past behaviour is a good indicator of future behaviour and we all know Roman has no patience so I'm not expecting Maureen to be there long come what may.

I do not know if Roman is capable of 'cutting and running' I think is a clever man and is unlikely to give Jose any open cheque again.
That is where problem is going to be!.

    A whole fiver?

Laying a bet like that must mean that he knows something

People writing off Maureen after a couple of iffy results are being more than a tad previous.......the man is a winner & he'll get it right at Chelsea, might take him a season, but he'll get the right blend & the Russian won't sack him this season irrespective of what they achieve imo.

I think Jose has gone soft since he was ran out of Madrid for being a failure and playing awful football, they should have bought a decent striker in the window instead of the muck they bought because for me they still have not replaced Drogbas goals and until they do they wont be title challengers.

Letting Moses and Lukaku out on loan was madness. Is he trying to make a statement - doing the unexpected to keep people guessing 'you may think I'm a fool but actually I'm a genius'.... who knows.
