Sunderland defender Ondrej Celustka is keen for the Black Cats to take the positives from Saturdayâs 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light into this weekendâs clash with West Brom at the Hawthorns. The Czech full back has impressed since joining on loan from Trabzonspor and, after a solid performance against the Gunners, Celustka says Paolo Di Canioâs side must pick up some results â starting with Saturdayâs clash with the Baggies. âWest Brom is a very important game for us,â the 24-year-old said. âFor us it was tough because Arsenal are a big team; one of the best in the world. "We had some very good parts in the game â for us we have to take advantage in this moment and in the next match as well.â Celustka has completed his first month on Wearside and he says he still hasnât had time to concentrate on life away from the game with football his main focus â even when heâs away from the Academy of Light. âI like to be here, even after training when I have my free time Iâm always thinking about football,â he said. âI will do my best to help us pass towards the middle of the table.â I love his attitude, been impressed with his performances, looks like we've nabbed a pretty nifty player here. We must take into account the fact he can play anywhere across the back 4 as well. This one loan move we need to make permanent.
Defender sums up defeat to Gunners. Sunderland defender Ondrej Celustka praised the Sunderland supporters as the Black Cats lost out to Arsenal 3-1 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Czech defender Celustka says the way in which the fans got behind the players gave his side a boost. And he urged his teammates to give the supporters something to cheer in next weekendâs clash with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. âThe fans were excellent throughout the whole game,â the 24-year-old told safc.com. âThey are good supporters for us; even after the game I heard their applause for us and this is great to have them behind us.
We need to start blowing the bloke away then. It makes you wonder how the sound travels to the pitch. Wasn't the stadium set up to amplify the noise to the middle ? If so i'd love to hear it with a bit of the old Roker Roar.
It was set up that way but moving the away fans into the roof space amplifies the away support and most of us in the North stand can hear sweet FA from Sunderland fans. Not knocking SAFC fans there just the club for a poorly thought out move Should have swapped them to the South West corner where the escape tunnel is or the North east corner and hemmed them in. Our home form has been utter w*nk since we moved the fans as well.
I've had dirty looks for singing in the quiet areas. ffs, didn't know a fan singing at a football match could irritate folk so much.
