I read on another forum that this topic is one of a mixed bag, but some make others feel like there doing something wrong Booing (to be honest i have done both booed and cheered the team on) when actually when the club promises you such slogans as "let us entertain you" and so on cause not the only one, then its on the pitch that things are going wrong not in the stand maybe...............
Were encouraged to get behind the team and cheer them on............well based on what i have seen that does NOT work either as the league table speaks for itself to be fair
So whats the way forward for us fans in relation to expressing our emotionals supporting/following city????

Booing is a selfish act - it may make the person doing it feel better in the short term, but it does not help the team - it instills fear (I think SoD touched on that) and reduces confidence. Remember footballers are human beings who will react to what the crowd says/does, especially when it's a very young team like ours.

Some bloke phoned up the radio last night and said it was his right to boo - he said there were 375 reasons why he could (the price of his season ticket). in some ways he has a point, but what about my rights?? I've paid for a season ticket and I DON'T WANT PEOPLE BOOING PLAYERS IN A BRISTOL CITY SHIRT.

The other point that SoD made was linked to keeping the ball - many people near me were shouting "get it forward" when our back 4 had the ball - eventually they were affected by this and started to lump it Sam - something that's never going to work.

So please let's all keep behind our team at the game - they need our support - we can affect them positively, so let's do that

The only people I have ever booed at AG have been officials and opposition players/officials ie their managers chairmen etc. I have also taken part in demos against our board after a game.

I dont agree with booing, however I do think there needs to be a way that fans are able to express their opinions.

I guess the age old question is would the club rather have 10k fans there booing or have an empty ground as the fans stayed home rather than express their feelings.

I think the thing to remember is the next home game when (not if when) we win the ground will be bouncing and that will then be taken in to the next game.

Again I have to disagree with the anti-boo boys! It's their right to boo, and if players are "only human" they should stop charging ridiculous inhumane prices for their lacklustre talents! I don't boo, because if the players on the field don't give it their all, why should I waste my energy booing them!

Don't like all this old fanny about "they can hear you saying get it forward" and then they lump it. No player hears that, not one! They only listen to one voice for tactical advice and thats SOD's!

SOD is not a manager in my view, but I'm happy to stick with him as I don't things can get much worse, they can only get better. I can't see where our next win comes from if we can't be Shrewsbury though!
