Andre Villas-Boas to send Emmanuel Adebayor out on loan and into the shop window The Spurs chief doesn't want the big-earning striker rotting away in the reserves so will allow him out on a temporary deal please log in to view this image http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...re-villas-boas-send-emmanuel-adebayor-2276703 Andre Villas-Boas is willing to let Tottenham misfit Emmanuel Adebayor out on loan â to save him from life with the reserves. Spurs coach Villas-Boas thinks the big striker could do with games at Championship level to keep him sharp and in the shop window. Adebayor was a target for several clubs in the transfer deadline window, but proved hard to shift â and now is due to train with the youth squad as of this week. However AVB would open the exit door to a loan if terms can be agreed with Spurs supremo Daniel Levy. Harry Redknappâs QPR are first in the queue , but the north London club will not do them any favours unless they offer to pay a big chunk of Adebayorâs £160,000-a-week wages. Other Championship sides have inquired, with Owen Coyleâs Wigan keen if Togo striker Adebayor is prepared to move from London.
So thats a no then, a big chunk to me is over half, we should pay more than 30k. Let him rot with them and waste millions on him.
A player of his character would ruin the good vibe we have the club at the minute I'm sure there are better options financially
A £30K/week subsidized cost to us on loan would be good business and would provide us with much needed striker options, as we obviously can't rely on Fulham pensioners BZ & AJ, to see this season through, with all the rough & tumble involved. Really a bit crazy that we have Remy loaned out and we are short of strikers. Or how about a straight season long loan swap for Julio Cesar? Would keep Hugo Lloris on his game, as he dropped a couple of Greenesque clangers in his last World Cup qualifying game for France - luckily the team bailed him out.
Probably for the first time ever, I agree with flyer. Does he really fit in with Harry's 'right sort of player' doctrine.
Why are there so many posts like this? He moves on every couple of years which is never a good sign, which is why I never wanted Anelka when we are linked. We desperately need two loan forwards though.
He might be good but his wage packet and ego may be too big for us. Personally I would rather see us trying to hijack Wigan's attempts to get Jordon Rhodes.
Him and Austin would guarantee promotion. He also probably end up being cheaper than zamora or swp when you take into account wages.
Would love us to get Rhodes, but that will never happen. I cant see Blackburn letting him go to Wigan either tbh. Billy Sharp seems the best option to me.
He's started well at other clubs but that's when he's moved to big clubs in the main leagues - I can't see him being half as bothered about putting in performances if he drops to the championship. Steer clear imo.
I'd be very cautious about taking him from Spurs on loan. He's another premier league foreign "megastar" isnt he. Over paid, over rated and over here. I dont doubt that he may well bang in a few goals at championship level, but would be concerned about damaging our new found team spirit. And we know what hapens when we dont have any!!! dont we. I'd try for Nahki Wells at bradford, initial loan followed by a permanent move if it works out. He seems to be on fire at the moment. Or Billy Sharp.
Excuse me for asking but IF (big if) we did get him in on loan....Does anyone know if he has a tendency for playing the 'big billy bollox' and would be detrimental for this new found team spirit at the club ?? Or is it just surmising ? We never know, he might be the model professional and bond with the team like a long lost brother. For sure he would (I hope) score more than a few goals in this league
Just asked this on the Spurs board, and it seems like he's a bit of a pain in the rrrrr's. So for me, it's now a case of Next please! They recon we'd be better taking Harry Kane.
On second thought, I don't want him here anymore. Prefer to take a risk + play the kids until January, than risk bringing in a bad influence. I've still got my doubts about Assou-Ekotto, who is yet to have an official interview with the club. The press team have been hugely on the ball with site content recently, so I have my suspicions that he might've turned the opportunity down... With his attitude to football, maybe he'd prefer not to pretend to be interested in QPR on camera? He's clearly here for gametime, we're a stepping stone. His tweets are irritating too: Benoit Assou-Ekotto ‏@AssouEkotto 11 Sep Bk in london...but not at spurs lets starts a new adventure but still COYS.
