How can dicanio think that Vaughan is a better option in the centre than cabral very strange , also thinks he has a lot to do to get back in the team ,thought he was good pre season and against Fulham
We have Gards, Ki, Vaughan, Seb, Catts & Cabral. Im interested to know what order they are in. Surely Ki must be number 1. I reckon its: 1) Ki - Creative 2) Gards - Defensive 3) Seb - Creative 4) Cabral - Defensive 5) Vaughan - Suppose to be something 6) Catts - Defensive After saturday Vaughan must surely have knocked himself down a few places and/or the only reason he was in before Gards was because of Gards previous injury.
Took this from ALS facebook page CABRAL NOT GOOD ENOUGH... SAYS THE MAN IN CHARGE Paolo Di Canio has offered an explanation as to why Cabral has been nowhere near the first team for the last few games, apparently he's not good enough! I beg to differ. Paolo said: "At this moment in time, I think I have a better footballer who can give me a better job in the middle than Cabral. I have players with a bit more fire, more high-tempo and physical presence. Obviously little David Vaughan does not have much physical presence but he is sharp. He did not do so well against Arsenal but in the last two games he has been one of our best players. He is sharp and plays the game in England better than Cabral, who has a slow pace at this moment. And Ki Sung-Yeung – even if he looked tired in the second half against Arsenal – he has quality, he keeps the ball and is calm. "Arsenal have very good aggression through Ramsey and Flamini and they put you under pressure but my midfielders did well overall. And then in the second-half Craig Gardner came on and he added fire and did very well. So at this moment it is difficult for Cabral. It does not mean he will not play for me in the future but I have to be honest and say it is difficult for me right now – I say 'one day', if he shows he understands his football. You have to work so hard against the top sides, you have to change gear, change pace and Cabral has found that difficult. But we will see what happens. At the moment he is behind three other players who have got ahead of him." Fans have been screaming for Cabral to be picked after looking great in pre-season and against Fulham, but I suppose if the Head Coach doesn't think he's good enough then we must trust his judgement, after all, it's his decision not ours.
I've never seen a player so out of his depth on Saturday as Vaughan was, you could put it down to a bad day if you want but after 20 minutes he should have been given the hook as most of the crowd could see the same. Not sure what the problem is with Cabral but, reckon it will change for the next game as he is out of my dream team this week therefore expect a start and probably a goal/assist.
typical Cabral is in my dream/fantasy team (with a private league ruling once the team is picked it stays that way for the season plus stake money involved lol ) hope he show some improvement and Di Canio brings him back into the fold
Agree Vaughan has been woeful. I thought PDC was playing mind games with DoF against Palace, starting DV to highlight why needed a quality CM, but seems not. More to the point though, sounds like Cabral has a touch of the big time charlie's. If he's not doing it in training he leaves PDC little choice - I would expect this at any level but especially EPL.
He musy not be fit enough for the pace of the premiership and tbh imo he did appear leggy against Fulham and his shots whilst there are there abouts flattered to deceive, they were of a player not quite where he should be. I;m sure once he is ft he will get his chance, it is very early doors.
It sounds like he ain't putting in a shift in training, and Paulo has a concern with his attitude. "I think I have a better footballer who can give me a better job in the middle than Cabral. I have players with a bit more fire, more high-tempo and physical presence". he was great against spurs pre-season, also against Fulham but not very good against MK Dons. Truth is we don't know what he is doing in training, but clearly not enough, so how we all form an opinion of how he should be played is a bit amusing. At least PDC took Vaughan off at half time, and hasn't slated him in public! you can't win, can you.
If we already had better. Why the hell did we go for him. Seems like a lack of communication with Di fanti and his mob.
PDC's comments about Cabral is a little 2 faced, he is telling us not to panic and to judge the team after 20 games yet he is judging Cabral after 1 league game ( which if we are being honest he had a good game) We know this guy can play , and at champion league level, I think this says more about PDC than Cabral.
If he's not good enough then he's not good enough. None of us see training so we're in no position to say whether he is or he isn't. Disappointing to say the least. But after 14 signings we can't expect everyone to be a success. Cheap wages and on a free. We'll live.
Training means jack mate if they don't do it on the pitch, Vaughan a prime example. I've lost count of the amount of times we hear players being played because they train well, I can train like a motherfucker but, I wouldn't get anywhere near conference level never mind PL. If PDC still thinks that Vaughan is a viable option for Cabral then fine he is the manager but, he needs his head looking at or maybe his eyes or possibly both.
All I'm saying mate is we don't know either way because we don't see training. We have very little to go on, so annoyingly we have to accept it. P.S If it's true Cabral is not as good as Vaughan then thank **** we've got Catts coming back soon.
Cabral isn't what we're missing, like. We need someone like Catts imo. Di Canio says he doesn't listen to instructions properly which is where the issue lies. If he doesn't listen to the gaffer then he has no use Although Cabral is supposed to be a dm from the little I've seen of him he is more interested in attacking I'd play him ahead of Vaughan but if his attitude isn't right then he shouldn't be playing.
