    Morning Folks,

Another win away from home, this time at the Reebok Stadium, courtesy of a Luke Varney header, following a decent corner by Murphy.

Although I'd be the first to admit (following the game on the radio) that we by no means dominated the game, we had almost twice as many corners as Bolton (7 to Leeds 4 to Bolton).

We have certainly become a more dangerous side with our set pieces, and although we don't have a Snodgrass, Harte, Doreigo, Sterland or Sheridanin our squad when it comes to free kicks, our team is certainly taking shape.

Following the game, McDermott had this to say “We’re trying to get a group together that’s difficult to play against but also we’re trying to get a group that can control games better with the ball.

“We’ve been working at our set plays because they’ve been really important to us, and it was a great delivery and a really good header from Luke.”

What is everyone opinion of Murphy when you've seen him play. According to radio reports he almost gifted Ngog a goal on Saturday!!!

Its a pleasant surprise when an opposing Manager doesn't start biatching about how their team was robbed after losing to us. I've got a lot of time for Dougie Freedman, very professional; and I believe he has the makings of being a fine manager.

Now that the table is starting to take form, has anyone's opinion changed about how they see us finishing the season?

Are Millwall doomed? Should Lomas be blamed, or should he be given a contract extension?

Morning all. Lomas contract extension obviously. I see on lots of reports Rudi Austin was man of the match. One of the few good things warlock did in his reign. How long before we need to give him a contract extension as I doubt if he's on a sizable wage yet.
Great feeling being confident we're not going to get any more hammerings. That was the worst part of the past few seasons for me. Getting worked up for a match only to lose by five or six or even to be two or three up and still lose games. That was total **** and thankfully looks like being in the past.
I'm beginning to think gift appointment of McD will be even more influential than the eliminated of the bearded dictator
And finally, imagine being a Wally today, or any day for that matter

Morning Eire, Interesting point about being Wally!!! Surely, if you've never been to the promised land, then you can't miss it?

Rudi is certainly a different player than what he was last season. I wonder if its because

    I) Coming from overseas, he was getting to the end of his season, and needed a break

II) He has now adapted to the English game.

    III) More organised team.

A couple of points about Rudi; last season he wasn't fully fit, ever and took time to get to grips with hoofball under Warnock. This season he's been made capatain and understands what that means, so gives everything to the cause. Also he likes to play football and not hoofball.

Lomas can't last too much longer and I worry about Dougie too. Freedman has spent a lot of money and Bolton should be a candidate for promotion as they have a great squad.

Chuffed to bits that BMD's squad of good to average players all work as a unit, and get results, but can't see them worrying the promotion candidates this season, unless the owners give the manager enough for a couple of top players in January

Morning all. I said before the start of the season that Austin was the key to everything. Last season, he didn't get any sort of a break, as he finished one season in Oslo I think & then came straight to us. Having had a break at the end of our season in May, he's now full of running and contolling the midfield. Let's hope he stays fit.

On Murphy, I think he needs to do a bit more, as Mowatt is going to push him hard for a starting spot.

Just a thought, but what do people think of Ross and AN Other (Varney, Smith, Poleon, or Hunt up to) and Diouf having the free role at the head of the diamond? To my mind, it releases McCormack to do more of what he's paid to do; score goals, and gives our most talented player license to spread the ball around as much as possible.

Morning everyone, good result, didn't even get to listen to it on radio though so have no idea of the performance. To be honest I have been a little disappointed by the performances I have seen so far this season.

On Murphy, I haven't really seen him have a good game yet. You can definitely tell there is something there but we aren't using him properly imo.

I like the idea of McCormack moving up front but I don't think Diouf is the answer there to be honest

    Morning all,

Really happy with Bolton result! Hope we can beat Reading on Wednesday that would be great!

We do still need that one player who can carry the ball though!

Austin definitely looks rejuvenated, never stops running! Only problem for me is that he still wastes possession by shooting from range too often, and sometimes his passing is wayward. Just needs to improve on his decision making a bit, but he's doing a great job in there. As for Murphy, he still needs time, and I don't think the formation is getting the best out of him just yet. I thought we looked a lot better in midfield with Tonge playing instead of Green - kept possession better, and Tonge passes the ball really well, Green's passing can be pretty poor at times...

    Morning All,

Delighted that we're striding on in various departments. I haven't even had a sharp word about Varney this season so far! There is one area of concern that I have. Although we're a difficult unit to defeat now, we have a real problem with scoring goals. Anyone noticed that we've only scored 6 in 6 Championship matches? A goal a game is not going to win you a playoff place. Or can it?

    Morning all,

Looking forward to Wednesday night, my first visit to flat pack Madjeski. Anyone know how many we're taking there? Apparently we took 5,000 to Bolton.

In his defence the fans do tend to shout shoot when he gets the ball.

Morning all - Delighted with the win and a clean sheet.
Mine hasn't, I still have us down as a possible 8th spot. We beat the bottom team who haven't won a game this season and it could have so easily finished 1-1, we are also a bit of a bogey team for them.

This time last week we were all discussing possible loan targets, a bit disappointed we haven't brought a wide or creative player in still yet.

I guess we have got to take it one game at a time, we won away from home and we are in a good position.

Josh, the reason why I think Diouf might be the answer to the question of who should play at the head of the diamond is that by a mile he is our most cultured player with the most experience at the top level. As such, he's more likely to be able to make a telling pass or run the game. What you won't get so much of is too much work back tracking for the team. But we have plenty of others to do that.

I think that when Byram's fit, I foresee a midfield of Austin at the base, Murphy or Mowatt on the left, Diouf at the head, and Byram on the right with Peltier keeping his place at RB. Gives us a hard working midfield, but also one that possesses just a fraction more in attack.
