in any kind of weather* (*= sunny, game not on tv, no premiership football on sky, hull on a winning streak playing an easy opponent, lowered admisssion prices etc etc)
And I bet those silly lards that did turn up moaned like fvck about the newly installed City players banners, even though they've got some of their own up apparently. Seriously, because I don't know, has the rugby World Cup been and gone, or yet to happen? I pay so little attention to RL, in much the same way as it seems RL authorities ignore the hotbed of rugby that is Hull. 4970 FFS.
Someone one my Facebook put a picture of the area around post being fenced of. He blamed Alam for it. I was going comment, but when I read it his grammar and spelling gave me a headache. If we'd of got half our average attendance in a play off game we'd of had it rammed down our throat how Hull is a rugby town etc.
Thank you (and Goochie). He married me on his birthday! In January 2015 we visit Hull for a return dual celebration as his sister clocks up a 50 year marriage anniversary and she too married on her birthday. Very much looking forward to this as my husband will see Hull City play at the KC for the first time and I have assured him that they will still be in the Premier League!
During the warm up the goal mouth was fenced off so they couldn't practice high kicks under the posts, but that's pretty standard when City are playing so close and is hardly a big deal.
Embarrassing for FC, but then we only got 21,900 for a Premier League football match. Bloody Wednesday got more than that for their game with Yeovil!
Yeah, but how many did Cardiff bring? I'm guessing the home ends where tickets were on sale for the whole period rather than last minute were pretty much sold out. And Sheffield is a much bigger City than Hull.
Yes, the path to becoming Yorkshire's biggest sporting club is a long one. Although Wednesday is usually a cheap day out, I doubt Yeovil would have taken more than 500. Plenty of work to be done on shoring up our core support - let's leave the Far East for later. Plus many of the attendees are Premier League groupies or 'footy families' who loyalty and credentials are as yet unproven.
Change our name to a plastic johnnie come lately type one which will appeal to know-nowt ****wits who like gimmicky trash?
As I've said before, we're the nearest professional side for somewhere between 500,000 and 700,000 people. And we're in the Premier League. It's about 30 miles from 'Ull to Brid, and within a similar range Wednesday are competing with Donny, Barnsley, Rotherham, Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford and Sheff United. I understand they're an historically bigger club than most of those, and the population is greater, but it's still embarrassing for us in my opinion.
Disappointing attendance of just under 22000 I agree but Cardiff only brought 1200 and many probably saw yesterdays fixture as a Championship one bearing in mind we had both just been promoted. Attendance generally in the PL seem to be on the wane a tad - Stoke only had 25k against Man City whilst Southampton's today was down to 28k including a couple of thousand of Hammers fans.
