Well said Diddy. This whole "protest" thing is flat out ridiculous. Just a few blowhards trying to keep this thing going. The overwhelming majority of supporters don't care. Saturday is all about the team and they are doing us proud. Get a life people and move on. Aaarggghhhh!!!
As you say, you don't care about the change but you do care about the supporters who do care, wonderful.
Sorry to disappoint you but he was interviewed on Sky's Super Saturday alongside his only supporter the muppet that owns Cardiff. He didn't come over as a meglamaniac he came over as slightly retarded. I think they had both been at the sauce to be honest, a huge embarrasment to themselves and the clubs
Didn't know there was a protest march.. Which I suppose is a comment on where this is going. I am so sitting on the fence on this topic that I've got splinters in my arris. Surprised by the number Cardiff brought today. Seemed to be down on the numbers in the last couple of seasons. Is the cost of PL football getting to them as well??
On the way to the ground I did hear a few people ridiculing the proposed new name. Everyone I know has said they don't like it. Apathy is maybe to strong a word I think people do care but are just not into the protest march kind of thing. Certainly in the East Stand the chant about "Hull City" was very well sung and I thought a bit of a protest. I think maybe people feel that as the owner Allam can do what he likes whether the supporters approve or not he will just do it. In the long term I really think the merchandising side of the business will suffer because that is where people will make their protest. I can't see supporters rushing to buy "Hull Tigers shirts. It is so stupid because there is such a lot right with the club at the moment and probably that is what people are focusing on.
So you're now claiming the protest movement is all the City fans who were chanting City? Glass is always half-full isn't it love?

Actually that is the best argument I've heard so far against Mr Allam's marketing philosophy. It would be a marketing disaster if future replica kits designated to be sold in Hull had the name Hull Tigers. They simply wouldn't sell with feelings as they are and that could scupper the whole name change thing. Overseas sales certainly wouldn't compensate and I doubt foreign fans would even be interested in a different shirt to the ones we wear. So the best way for the 'AFCs' to win isn't with protests, you should organise a petition where fans sign up to not buying new kits unless the name Hull City AFC is clearly emblazoned. The threat of a huge drop in replica kit sales couldn't be risked by the club and the whole idea would collapse like a house of cards. No need to thank me.
They'll be doing some big spread on how well the rugby teams did, despite both being ****e and only marginally more fans being at those games than were at the 'protest'
That would make sense except that you're protesting on here just as much as the rest of us. You're protesting about the people protesting. Whatever you have to do that is more important than caring about the name change clearly isn't important enough to stop you having a go at those of us who do care. You're getting as wound up as anyone, just the reason is different and yours makes no sense. Why does it bother you so much that the rest of us do care and want to protest? It's an absolute crock of **** of an argument. You're essentially saying that what happens to the name isn't that important to you but seeing people questioning the change pisses you off. People with your point of view are pissing me off more than anything in all of this. If you've got more important things to do than worry about the name change that's perfectly fine, but if that was true you wouldn't be on here talking about it. That's obviously something you just thought you'd write to justify your pathetic belittling of the people protesting. Just realised Ben has already made the same point. Ah well I've written it now.
your life must be very limited .. hull city .. work .. hull city ... work .. hull city ... by any chance .. grow up
