My only selection today, is Cockney Rocker 6.15 Windsor, so I suppose he's the nap

After a disappointing weekend, I cautiously submit Glora Na Mara as my nap of the day. One of the highest rated maidens around he is very consistent and today may be the day he finally gets his head in front.

    Good luck all.

49th race and no longer a maiden - Serena Brotherton the best jockey won the race for the recalcitrant partner.

Good luck to 'em, it's been a while in coming. 1600 pounds to boot. Doesn't sound like much, but I'll bet there are smiles over the place.

Katy's Secret up next (3.00) the fact Fallon is on and the horse ran well last time is enough for me. I also know Miss Firefly is a monkey at times so I have to take that one on. Come on Fallon show us some passion (expect the Barzalona celebration when winning this handicap!)

Maybe Glor Na Mara will follow suit and also loose his maiden status now too ;)

7.15 Edgeworth 25/1 at ladbrokes, similar on Betfair (snap it up before it goes) 0.5pt EW
    7.45 Style & Panache 10/1 to 11/1 1pt win
    7.45 Scarlet Rocks 10/1 to 11/1 1pt win
9.00 Jigajig 8/1 2pts win (only negative is not the best of draws but still expect to do well)

    Beefy,

Not to be. Glor Na Mara is just one big disappointment after another. He keeps running well against good horses but fails to deliver in races you think he should win <wah>

I know the feeling mate, I've regularly backed them both but have never been impressed with the winner. Still the fact that she has won before should have been all the convincing I needed. It's like playing a shot at pool or snooker where you know you are going to go in off but you play the shot anyway.....blind faith, or banging your head off a brick wall if you like <laugh> <laugh>

Oh well, a winning day nonetheless but so close to picking up about £1000.

Had £10 place only treble at Paddys for Edgeworth, Style & panache and Jigajig and also same with scarlets rocks.

Edgeworth let me down bad! lol
