Can anyone recommend me a good record store where I can buy som vinyl records? Preferably a used/trade store.

It would help if it has easy access from the underground. If it opens early enough I might get to it before the meet up.

    Thanks in advance :)

They are a dying breed nowadays. I do know that there was a very good one in Notting Hill Gate, just opposite the tube station, but it's been a while since I've been down there so I'm not sure whether it is still there. Maybe someone else can confirm.

    Cheers Lone <ok>

That would suit me perfect as my hotel is right next to the Tottenham Court Road station.

Last time I was in Camden Town, there was still a couple of record shops selling second-hand vinyl. Would be a good place to try.

NorwayRanger. I think the Notting Hill Gate shop is gone. Berwick Street is a stones throw from Tottenham Court Road and I am pretty sure there are a couple of records shops there still. It used to be the main street for second hand record shops in London.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I'll try Berwick Street first thing tomorrow and if time allows I'll try to hit Camden too.

    Cheers lads :)

    Vynal records,
    Tower records
One in Northifields, Run by Judge Jules (vynalmania i think)
Rayners lane (downstairs)-cant remember the name
Think Virgin ghas gone from Ox St hasnt it
What ever happened to the record store in ealing broadway precinct? Was it Our Price or something? Opposite Dixons & Bally?

Anyway os..most of mine were underground/ club music. You are probably looking for something a bit more "Scandanavian" like Ossie Ozbourne and Death Metal.<laugh>
Good luck mate, maybe get some Technic 1200's too? <ok>

Norway, here on the Gold Coast in Oz, there is a store that sell unbelievable amounts of old records, all types of music / band memorabilia.
They sell world-wide and even though they changed hands a couple of years ago, the store itself has been around for many a year.

I have bought a new and second hand cd from them. Their second hand record section is huge .................. anyway, just a thought. Here is the link. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...6kJ-VdYKUapg0nknA&sig2=ginv8UXNDW3CUB2ClU_1JA

Music and Video Exchange, 38 Notting Hill Gate. Used to be jam packed with vinyl, it's still there although I don't think the basement which was stacked full of the stuff is the same anymore?

You're not far off lads as I'm mainly looking for 80's stuff. But more in the rock genre. Older Bowie is also on my shopping list, hoping to strike lucky.

    Cheers Nines, that looks handy.

I'm afraid time is against me this weekend though, as I usually speng hours in them, but it's great for the next time I'm over.

    Thanks everyone <ok>

Yes thats the one. I have bought numerous vinyls and cd's from there over the years. Excellent record shop. I believe it was there already in early 80's.
