I must have missed all the stalwarts on the pre and actual Udders marches. That was actually important.
Estimate for the size of any protest march?

So you keep saying with absolutely nothing to back it up.

    http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...y-s-dropping/story-19637882-detail/story.html
Vice-chairman Ehab Allam confirmed that although “AFC” will remain on the club badge for shirts this season, it will be removed thereafter.

He says any possible further amendments to the club badge will be consulted upon with fans, but stressed the club’s current identity change was being made for business reasons.

“We have dropped the AFC as it is something which has become redundant,” said Ehab Allam.

“If anything, we have looked to strengthen our club brand and identity and we have gone back to stripes on the kit for the Tigers this year.

“The identity of the club is the Tigers, the stripes, and the colour scheme of amber and black, which remains.

“We just feel that, now being on the international stage, we need to strengthen the brand identity.

“AFC is redundant, it is not used by the club, the fans never mention AFC, nor do the media.

“We have dropped something that is redundant, that is of no value, and is of no use.”

While stressing the club will use and actively look to promote the “Hull City” and “Hull City Tigers” brand, Allam accepts nobody outside of the organisation can be forced to follow suit, and says he expects many fans to continue calling the club “Hull City”.

“People have the right to call the club what they like, it’s their club,” he said.

“We are not going to fans and saying they all have to refer to us in the same way.

“They call it what they like, we will do the same, but it is for commercial reasons that we are choosing this branding. When it comes to business, there is a certain strategy.”

You seriously think Hull Tigers will benefit the club in any way?

    Seriously?

I had you down as someone brighter than that.

Believe, or don't believe, what I said about NT and Ehab, I couldn't give a ****.

There's always been people who doubted my info on here, no doubt there always will be.

Don't leave me hanging, Lamby, I'm all oiled up and ready to go

What have Pinocchio and Junior been saying about the name-change? How did you come by the info?

Then you really don't understand what football is about. You can deny it all you want, but you have just betrayed yourself as being no different to the Man United and Liverpool fans who snapped up season-tickets as soon as we went up. All you care about is watching Premier League football. City, being the most local team, are just a cheap and easy vehicle for you satisfy your needs.

I'm not posting the info source on an open forum, but when Assem told NT and Ehab that he wanted to drop City, they thought he was joking and said the fans would never accept it.

Unfortunately, dad calls the shots and NT is just an employee.

Someone posted on Twiiter this morning 'if people think fans can't be grateful to the Allam's, while also being against the name change, then they shouldn't be allowed scissors or matches', I think that sums it up.

Why are you prepared to let him give it a try? Don't you think it's a crock of ****? You're allowed a personal opinion.

Personal opinion. My old man went to City but hated it. He always wanted to win the pools and buy City. First thing he would do, and i heard this every week, sack the lot of em the tea lady the cleaner right up to the top. They're all comfortable and revel in mediocrity, they dont want to go anywhere, they dont want first division football and never did.

I see Mr Allam come in and do everything my old man would have done. Even the fans ANectar PLT yourself, why are we sacking so and so he's been here years? They've got no one who knows how to organise a transfer, they wont know how to pick a manager, everything's ****ed, they are clueless. He's senile, he's mad as a box of frogs.

When to me he's got the midas touch. He will have been in contact with other Premier league chairmen, a lot of whom are Yanks, they will be looking at branding and merchandising etc, he's like a sponge soaking up info. He doesnt want to hurt this club he wants what is best for the club and I will support him in that.

If people want to protest thats their choice, but dont hurt the team on the pitch which is the most important thing.

Nobody's going to do anything that would hurt the team on the pitch.

I think much of what Assem did needed doing, I thought the Barmby thing was shabby and certain other things(like withdrawing free tickets for the likes of Deano and Ash) were completely pointless. I think most of those that have gone, deserved to go, there's only a couple who I was sad to see leave.

I don't think Assem is clueless at all, I certainly think he's slightly odd and says and does really daft things, but he's been very good for the club overall. That's no reason not to act when he gets too carried away.

That is how Egyptian families work, the father is right even though he may be wrong. Ehab will never go against what his father says, whether he is in agreement or not.

I wish folk would get off their Allem-Is-A-God bandwagon. Everything he has done has a financial consequence that he will benefit from. He is an arrogant old sod who continues to disrespect the fans, the club, it's history and the City it represents. If his son has not got the balls to be his own man then he is a weak fool. It's got nothing to do with being Egyptian, that's just another piss-poor excuse for being a bunch of ****s and it's getting ****ing boring.

Edit: Do you guys really, truely believe that all of those young people, who have been the core of the Egyptian riots (as young people do), have done so with the total blessing of fathers and grandparents. I don't know about you, but if I disagreed with my dad, I did it in private, so I must be Egyptian. ****ing bollocks the lot of it; there's nothing more to it than arrogance and a bully refused the KC.

I don't think Ehab is a weak fool, it's just the way the hierarchy works in some cultures, it's exactly the same in China and many other places.

Many who leave the place of their upbringing, have a stronger cultural belief than those in their homelands.

It's no more than the unity of a business team; NT is not Egyptian. Chinese culture will sell their own daughter if it suits them and both will kill them if it suits their cultural beliefs. Cut the crap about culture, one has lived in this country for forty odd years, the other has always lived here. When in Egypt it may be wise to heed these guidelines:

    http:// http://www.kwintessential.co.uk/resources/global-etiquette/egypt-country-profile.html

When in England it might help if they treat us with a tad of respect. Kow-tow as much as you wish to this cultural bollocks, because AA won't.
