This is the exactly the point i wanted to make Daz. You don't want the change, but you'll still support the club, come what may.

You should still protest the change, because you don't want it..

No, simple as. And I mean it.

The issue is I couldnt give 2 ****s whether Hull Tigers win, lose or draw - they mean nothing to me.

    I felt sick.

If this happened I would protest by firing some angry emails off to people, or the council who I would assume to be behind it all. I'd rant about it online then I'd spend the time during a key game having a nice meal somewhere. These proven techniques would surely win the day.

Yes I would still attend Hull Tigers games. Apart from when I'm having that nice meal ofc.

Anyone who won't support the club on the grounds of a name change can't claim to be more of a loyal supporter than those who will.
Hull City till I die - No matter what the ****ing name.

Sorry, but I'm not through saying thank you to Mr Allam for saving the club. Ask me again in another 20 years and I'll consider it.

The point for me is that clubs stopped been clubs a long time ago and started becoming business's. It is far less about football and more about business now. Lets all be honest, the players have no affinity with clubs, the manager's don't, the owners never do.

I still don't agree with the name change, its daft and stupid, but to pretend we are the same Hull City AFC as we was in the 60's is ridiculous we are business now, its less about representing Hull and more about been a club turning a profit in a abig league.

That just makes no sense. We're all Hull City through and through, but when it becomes a different club why should we support them? It'll be no more our club than any other.

Staff, owners, grounds and sometimes even badges change occasionally but the one constant is the club. If you change the club there's nothing left of the old one.

No matter whether we are Hull City AFC or Hull Tigers this will always be our club. It's like family - and who on here would dis-own their kid if they changed their name?

Who is changing the club? The debate is about a name change.

How's Hull Tigers the same as Hull City AFC?

Anyway, if we go down this year no ****er will touch us with a barge pole. At least there's a silver lining.

PLT You've just shot down your own point. The club will always be hull city at its heart, even if it is not called hull city.

I wouldn't because they'd still be the same person, but that's hardly applicable to a football club where every single detail has changed from the one I started supporting.

For example, I love Hull City.

    But I hate Crystal Palace.

If Allam moved us to South London, called us Crystal Palace Mk2 and insisted that we only play diving ****s, would we still be Hull City?

It's an interesting point though, when does the club seize to be the same club?

The Allams have suggested moving out of Hull and changing the name, so if we played in Melton and became 'Hull Tigers' what remains? How far are we from then becoming 'Melton Tigers' and then are we the same club at all?

I know the move will never happen but it's worth considering, what actually makes the club what it is.

So if half of us bugger off because we don't want to support Melton Tigers what are we? No longer the club we were, half the club we were?
