Some of us have to be at work, so leaving that few minutes earlier is the difference between getting to work on time and been late. Hope this excuses me
There must be a lot needing to go work at 5pm on a Saturday or 10pm during the week then. I wonder why there aren't as many at a lot of other clubs? Even stranger are the ones leaving early force everyone to stand up to let them get by but are the first to moan at anyone who stands up up to get behind the team.
This is obviously not aimed at those who have to leave for work, there's a family of four who sit in front of me and have done for many years, who don't know what a final whistle sounds like.
I can understand someone leaving early for work or other commitments, but just to leave to beat the traffic, and miss the last 5 minutes I cannot understand. I always wait to applaud the players off the pitch also, as I think we should give them our appreciation.
People have always left early. Reason = to catch the bus = go to work or simply want away before everyone else. Each to there own like.
