I understand in the whole it is Real no question, but I think what they meant was we had the most for an English club, wrong word in using a record, probably just most successful British team in Europe or something clsoe to that.

Liverpool are Englands most successful club in Europe with 8 trophies. Man United are a distant second with 4 trophies.

Bill Shankly referred to Matt Busby as the best manager in England,He never said Man United were the best club in England. He was asked and I repeat it again ''How does it feel to be the best manager in England'' and his reply was ''Has Matt Busby retired''. Matt Busby being such a humble gentleman on more than one occasion said it was the other way round. Its also a known fact that when Shanks died,Matt Busby refused to answer the phone,because he was so upset that his closest friend had passed away. They were actually the best club in the 1950s,but then again they were only competing with Wolves.So that destroys UIR's arguement. Different clubs have different eras.Out of all the clubs in England only Liverpool and Man United have had sustained success,no other club has.Arsenal have had fleeting success on a number of occasions,so have Everton.But only two clubs have had sustained success and that is Man United and Liverpool.
