For those who arnt superstitious and going to have a punt- racing comes from Bangor, Sandown, Doncaster, Wolverhampton & Down Royal 16.25- Doncaster- Sir Reginald- 8/1 Hasnt won since the spring 2011 in a valuable race, but because of this, he is down to a very attractive mark. He showed signs of coming back to form this more than evident when second in a good race at chester. Also will appreciate the soft ground and the more rain that comes the more I will fancy him to take the honours and 8/1 is a cracking e/w price.
Tenenbaum 2:10 Doncaster. All best form with soft in the description, 10/1 looks value though EW killed by non runner.
Hi to all the NOT606 team in the Telegraph competition - we are getting near the 'business' end of the competition and we lie 3rd in the National League of Leagues ... with a last big push and a large slice of luck we could yet win this and put our Manager on the top of the tree ! ... if you can spare the time today make those picks ... good luck to all ..
I am going for a speculative punt on Chankillo in the 1 50 at Bangor --fancy price at the moment-- may not be at the off time !
It’s rumoured that the Lady Cecil horse in the 2.30 is ‘rather good’. Venezia, a son of Galileo, is entered in the ‘Racing Post Trophy’ and the 2014 Derby. Rather short this afternoon though – currently 11/8.
4:00 Bangor - Mostly Bob 6/1 Fancy the chances of this one here. None too consistent but won last time out and been given a 2 month break to get over that - form looks solid enough with the 4th, 5th and 6th winning next time. A quirky customer for sure but worth a punt at 6/1 in my opinion. Good luck all!!
2:50 Bangor - Gingers Lad 20/1 4:25 Doncaster - Shropshire 6/1 4:35 Bangor - King Mak 7/1 5:10 Bangor - General Miller 9/2 7:00 Wolverhampton - Boston Alex 12/1 EW Lucky 31
In the May Hill at Doncaster (3:15), the Sweet Solera winner Ihtimal should stay the extra furlong no problem and looks a bit of a penalty kick on form; however, she has only ever raced on fast ground so I would not advise piling on until you have seen her canter to post. Over at Sandown, the 3:05 is something of an annoyance. Last time out I backed Breden when it ran rather flat over course and distance on good ground. There has to be a question mark about the ground as his previous turf win was on good to firm. Last time out I also backed Monsieur Rieussec when he was joint favourite at Salisbury and was beaten into fourth by the other joint favourite Russian Realm, who re-opposes and also has the same question mark about the ground. I think I will end up leaving the race alone and Russian Rhythm's son will bolt up. With regard to Venezia, holding a 2014 Epsom Derby entry means next to nothing at the moment as speculating nine months before the event is much cheaper than a supplementary entry on the week of the race.
Oh I envy you Harbottle, I come from around there and Sandown was always my local track (with Kempton and that dear old frying-pan track Hurst Park) Have a great day and back all the winners!
Wotcha chaps, have managed to get on briefly via my phone. Just been told to back FLICKA WILLIAMS in the 5.40 at Bangor. It's being heavily punted but there might be some value about. Apparently it worked with one of McCain's good horses before switching yards recently and walked all over it.
Amralah has a good chance of winning the 5.00 at Doncaster, might've needed the run on it's last race at Salisbury, first run of the season. Ambiance ran in a Group 1 earlier this season, runs in the 1.40 at Doncaster, could be a double for same jockey/trainer/owner.
Sorry it's late, info on Extortionist 6/1 win, get on lads and enjoy. Green door will probably come 3rd which is annoying but might just get up for the forecast
