<peacedove>Liverpool away to Swansea on Monday 16th September after international
break. On Sunday night another club is likely to occupy the top of the table, to go back to the
top of the table Liverpool would need to win: a draw is unlikely to do it because of goal difference.
Liverpool trip to Liberty Stadium comes after international break, and it's going to be a Monday night Football. My prediction is going to be away win. Swansea 1:2Liverpool.

    Lawro called it a draw:

    Swansea v Liverpool
Swansea won away from home at West Brom last time out to take some pressure off after a difficult start.

    Shelvey to shine?
    Jonjo Shelvey
Jonjo Shelvey made 47 Premier League appearances for Chelsea but scored just twice before joining Swansea this summer

Their new signings are settling in and midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is up against his old club.

It never really happened for him at Anfield but I don't think he's really a top-six player. You can understand why he made the move - he will play regularly at Swansea and it's a good move for all three parties.

Liverpool were very good against Manchester United. They managed to carry a goal threat of their own while also stopping United from playing.

Boss Brendan Rodgers goes back to his old club and the two sides are likely to line up in a similar fashion. They will both pass the ball neatly in midfield and cut in from the flanks so I think it will be tight.

Daniel Sturridge will probably be fit after missing the games for England but he is right to worry about playing for his club first. A place in the national side will come, but only if he keeps playing, and playing well, for Liverpool.

    Prediction: 1-1

    Swansea vs Liverpool

    September 16, 2013, 7:00pm

Liverpool are still well short of being title contenders, but they've done well so far. They just need to do what Everton did a few years ago when they finished in the top four and got into the Champions League. They did that by scoring the first goal in a lot of football matches and then they defended and worked from there - and that's what Liverpool have done in the first three games. They've been very good at sitting back and defending a lead, but if they don't get that first goal I don't know what they're going to do. If they score first against almost anybody I don't see them losing too many games because they'll rarely let in two goals. However, I do see them losing if they concede early.

Swansea are one of those team who will test them. Brendan Rodgers is trying to get his Liverpool team playing the same way as Swansea and that isn't happening for me at the moment; they gave the ball away far too cheaply against Man United. His players are still getting used to the patient style and I think this will be a draw - and that's a good result for Liverpool because this is a hard place .
