I got a galaxy ace from work and it came with a gypsies curse, cant do nothing on it as wrk have blocked all its functions which rely on net
I've got a Google Nexus (Samsung) and that's pretty old. Its fantastic for me though it is a dated phone (2 years is dated now...). One problem with iPhone's is the flash player issue. I can watch flash streams on my phone (though newer android need to download flash manually) and download any file. I can listen to mp3's that I downloaded from sketchy Romanian websites, browse not606, and more. Apple products can't download many files. I had an iPod touch and quite honestly the novelty wears off. It gets clunkier and slower over time! And service drops as Apple releases all the sequels year after year. Its limited in what you can do with it - basically what Apple says you can do you can do. Unless of course you jailbreak and void your warranty. Its worth waiting for a good new Android. Read reviews and see if you get flash player on it. If you do, you can stream anything anywhere. If not, the new Lumia is coming out and that might be worth a look. 42mpx camera compared to the top of the line 13 mpx so far. It looks amazing and the rest of it can't be that bad I figure.
Dongo - I'm a vigin customer on an iphone. I know Virgin currently don't do iPhone contracts but just buy an unlocked one from ebay and slot your sim card straight in. Be aware though the newer iPhones use mini sims - so I just got a 3gs and it does what I need it to do perfectly. Whoever said HTC One must be crazy - I have one as my work phone and it's ****ing shockingly bad.
I'll be getting the iPhone 5S once it comes out! No doubt that there are other phones with more features etc etc but the marriage between software and hardware for iPhones is the best - seamless interface.
Get an android tablet instead - cheaper and better. I have an iPhone 5 (work gave it to me) and i'm not a big fan, I prefer my android driven tablet and my wife's Galaxy S4
You will love this boys, i'm still rockin an old nokia rubberized phone. it makes calls and the one text i send every 6 months seems to go through without a hitch. i have been told it has a camera but never bothered to look. However the most important thing is when i drop it, which i do with alarming regularity, i can pick it up and it still works. tip ****ing top. It also has snake, i am the master.
ok so four things from me. 1. I have iphone 5. I will not be getting any more iphones. they have just gone cheap and the 4 to 5 was simply not good enough improvement. By all means if you can lay your hands on a cheap 4s or whever to watch footbal grand. i watch sky go on mine.. it EATS battery. you will get maybe an hour of it so be warned. 2. use wireless. do not use data to watch sports unless you've an amazing unlimited package. you'll cost yourself. 3. whether you think it or not forget brand think android. apple have 15% of market.. the high end. they now see this 5c phone as savior and its not for china its for cheaper end in us and europe trust me. Samsung are already there. Noika are dead. nobody and i mean nobody should get a windows 8 phone cos there are no apps and you have to pay for whats there's. in short andriod is the ubiquitous software of choice just as windows was for PC. All tablets and phones should be android for peoepl to get best options. Apple are basically locking you in to a trap with itunes etc. 4 virgin are screwing you. they are behind the times and they will have to bring out a google android app shortly. i would do some research on it they might have something in the pipeline.
Don't get an iPhone 5s doesn't support NFC - near field communication iTunes The maps are complete tosh. All it's new features can be used on the 4s iOS6 or higher. And it's a ****ing Apple product.
I agree on maps. I downloaded google mpas onto mine as the apple one was terrible Iphones also will NOT bluetooth to anything bar devices. you cannot send a pic for example on bluetooth to an andoid phone. itunes is a scam nothing more. its to lock to to apple for life, different music and vidoe formats and you cannot make mp3s from them if you download. stick to mp3 and google android devices lads! I sold my iphone 4 for 200 and got my iphone 5 for 200 on my deal so it was "free". next time its not going to be apple... they don't innovate enough the only thing about it is screen size is suited to hd programming. thing i hate baout apple is the locked in battery. my iphone 4 didn't last 18months on battery. i phone 5 is worse. its a daily full charge at this point.
Yeah Mito, that seems to be the bottom line. I'll leave it till Xmas and see if Virgin do an android app for this Anywhere malarkey (they did say they would a year ago when they first introduced Anywhere for I-pod/phone/tablets). If they do I may get a Sony Xperia or Galaxy 4s, if they don't I may jump to Sky. Problem is I have unlimited data on my Virgin sim, and they also do free BT Sport on their XL package. My mind is made up though that I'm not paying £300-£400 for an I-phone just to watch football on the go.
If you have an iPhone, it's best to wait for the new iOS 7 to come out (18th) and load it onto your iPhone. and then re-evaluate. The biggest single change Apple have made this year is the new software, not the new hardware.
ive got a brick...i prefer phones to make phone calls with...t.v's to watch telly on,cameras to take photos with....will never sell my soul to this big brother society...which has resulted in creating a nosey society and people hungry for stardom of any kind be it within thier own circle of friends or on a wider scale....theres no privacy left in this world. Before it used to be celebrities who couldnt get privacy nowadays the general mob crave for it hence bullshit social networking sites etc ...anybody would think people didnt live happy lives before the internet.....i think they lived much more honest lives....nowadays arseholes have to tell each other that they are shopping on aisle 4 of Asda or someone has just purchased a pair of ****ing shoes... **** this android world we live in.
You have a point, which is nonetheless somewhat undermined by you making it on a social networking site.
I knew someone would say something along these lines but I don't regard this as a social networking site. this is strictly a footballing forum....were individuals don't know each other, dont really care to know each other and just make comments based on football...most of the time...nothing like facebook
