Shouldn't we be more worried about centerback cover?

I see a lot of people annoyed about the likes of Gomis coming through, and the fact that we didn't sign another striker.

Personally, I'm a lot more worried about CB. Colo and Mbiwa are a sexual partnership, but then we have Saylor as 3rd choice who is injury prone. Then it's back to Williamson.

I don't mind Willo, he does well in most of his games, but over a long season he has a few games where he gets put under pressure and fumbles.

And what if we decide to do well in the cup? One of our best two CB's get injured, and we only have one quality CB plus injury prone Saylor and Willo for cover?

We should have signed another CB. Didn't need to be a top class one, just a sturdy one that could fill in and do a good job.

I'm not worried at all Tash tbh.
Saylor and Willo as back up is better than just Willo in previous years.
Plus Haidara could fill in if needs be.

Dabizas or Peacock ahead of Willo for me, based on last nights performance!

Add Baresi and Maldini to that an'all.

In seriousness, I'd also put Good and Streete ahead of Willo! That said, there's nothing really to talk about. Ashley's Newcastle will only ever have, at best, 11 good players. The concept of strength in depth is both too costly and too ambitious for the fat clown.

    Good's a good shout (sorry)
I'd rather see him given a go over williamson even if just for a game. I really think we would be more patient with him.
Yes we should have got douglas BUT could he have just been a continental steven taylor? He does have a tendency for brain farts. Can't say i've seen much of him mind...

Also what decent CB is going to come here to be back up?

Off the top of my head I can't think of Premier League team that has a really decent CB warming the bench (Feel free to prove me wrong)

The rape stuff, fair enough, but all I said was "a sexual partnership"....

It would not surprise me if Kinnear is drawing up contract offers based on them being free agents.

I'm not massively worried. We have Saylor in the wings, i'm keen to see more of Streete/Good and there is always Willo. Strikers however...............
