The daily express is still banging on about Princess Diana 19 years later. Therefore, I'm gonna bang on about plakka mags with a simple question. Do you reckon that plakka mags are an example of Orwellian media con. Eg People in East Durham/ Blackhall et cetera made to believe by royalist supporting media to pledge their support to a city their ancestors fought and died against. It's quite clever how the media has conned them but I apportion no blame, they are just weak minded.
Perhaps you could go and discuss it with the Express instead of all the people on here who refuse to subscribe to your narrow minded agenda?

It is very sad to see these people from east Durham walking round in there black and white attire . Its not there fault they are, weak minded .Something must have happened to them a while back. Because there was not that many when I lived up there ! Cant think what happened perhaps one of them might be so kind to let us know how it all came about
I agree with NMG. They all jumped on the John Hall/Cry Baby Keegan bandwagon & Newcastle A/Z sales went through the roof as none of them knew where Sid James' was. Some of the turn coat tarts even changed their names to Gloria Hunter. I just called them the Mag Slags.

I got into a conversation a few years back down here . There was me, a man u and Bristol rovers fan . The man u fan asked me who I followed when Sunderland aren't in the prem . To which I replied I don't take a great deal of notice of the prem when safc aren't in it . The manu fan went off in a huff and the Rovers fan said to me they just don't get it do they . I always tell that story to all the glory hunters I know because its got to be true .... They just don't get it !
