Harry brought Bosingwa back into the team last season and that was a big mistake. He played alright but it can't have done a lot for the little team spirit that was building at that time. We were all surprised that he dropped Onuoha who was doing well. Harry obviously felt we needed a more attacking full back to kick on but I think it backfired. Let's hope he doesn't repeat that mistake.
I'm backing Green. Been a strong performer so far, especially in his handling at crosses. He's also won promotion from this division on two occasions.
No problem with your preference, but he's also been relegated from the Prem 3 times, if you include us.
And the Brazilian number one has been too, from his only season in the PL. Besides, we're not currently in the PL so that bridge can but crossed if and when we get there.
Looks like a Rangers player will be at the WC then http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...rld-Cup-says-manager-Luiz-Felipe-Scolari.html
On the pitch, Cesar is the better goalie but I dont like what hes done off the pitch, plus it could destabilise us as well. It will be interesting to see what the manager does, play Cesar, play him after the 1st Green error or dont play him at all.
It seems crazy that we could have a top international goalkeeper on the bench, but Green shouldn't be dropped until, or unless, he buggers up.
Agreed. Green should stay in until the inevitable clangers start coming. Allow him throw one into the net but after the second one, give Cesar his chance.
I'd say, on pure skill, if they both give 100% in training and don't have any slight injury concerns, put Cesar in goal. But the question is if Cesar should injure himself after say 2 or 3 games, would Green be as confident and secure he's been so far, or would dropping him now damage his morale and confidence in case he has to come back? It's a tricky decision, I'm glad I won't have to be the one making it.
it's not about him leaving, looks like he is staying atleast till jan. it's about who would perform better for us.
As I mentioned before on another thread, one of my best friends saw him out in Acton quite early on during pre season, and Cesar told him he was more than happy to stay and play in the championship. Also mentioned that he loved London.
