    United 07-09/99?
    Madrid of the late 50's?
    Bayern of the 70's?
Liverpool of the late 70's/mid 80's?
    Ajax of the early 70's?
    Juventus of the 90's?

I didn't rate Colchester United's side particularly much over those years. Nor even Hartlepools United neither.

Of that list; Liverpool even before the late 70s. They were great, as I recall, from the mid-seventies; even before the late seventies so I am not sure why you denied them a few years.

Inter of the mid sixties? Cripes, how old do you think we are?

I have to ask; why did you choose to omit Benfica from this list or River Plate?

Benfica were never really THAT good. They are always thrown about in all these lists you see online but honestly the one reason they are perhaps highly regarded by some is solely to do with one certain star player. The team as a whole was nothing overly special.

River Plate, perhaps, but I guess I was dumbing the list down for the majority. Lets face it, nobody is going to vote for River Plate because they're not European.

I quite enjoyed the Denis Potvin inspired New York Islanders of the early 80's followed by Wayne Gretzky's Edmonton Oilers of the mid-late 80's.
