whats your starting eleven? i'm going with : ...........................Westwood .....................Jos................Bown Celutska.............................................Dossena .............................Catts ................................Ki Aj......................................................Giacc ...................Jozy.............Fletch Bench : Mannone Mavrias Karlsson Colback Borini Gardner cant think if your allowed more than 6 subs if so i'll add Roberge Cabral Diakite
Think JC as opposed to Dossena who isnt match fit. Apart from that, that team should be more than good enough to beat Arsenal quite comfortably.
Too early for me to tell yet. Still question marks over the central midfield and central defence, possibly even forward line.
Difficult one, depends who were playing. I have not seen Ki yet or Borini so would go something like this: ...........................Westwood ..................Diakite................Bown Celutska..............................................Dossena .....................Catts....Cabral............................ Aj...........................Fletch.........................Giacc ............................Jozy..................................... I think for Arsenal we should set up like this: ...........................Westwood ..................Diakite................Bown(if fit) Celutska...............................................Colback .....................Catts....Cabral............................. .............................KI...................................... Aj............................................................Giacc ............................Fletch.....................................
don't worry mate I know what you mean.thats your team when all fit and available.apart from cabral for catts i actually agree as for the subs bench which you can have seven.usually you would include a central defender maybe diakite.
For me it would be: Westwood Celutska Brown Roberge Dossena Giacc Colback Ki Johnson Fletcher Borini Subs: Mannone, Diakite, Ba, Larsson, Cabral, Mavrias, Altidore Prefer to match Roberge's pace and footwork with Brown reading and power over Diakite. Am hopeful that Diakite will improve; not saying hes done much wrong but he looks at times like a man who hasn't played for 12 months, I think once that 'ring rustyness' has passed he could become a starter but for now it would be Roberge. Whilst I'm not a huge fan of 4-3-3, if I had someone of the talent of Johnson available, for me, it's the only way to play him. It's pointless expecting him to do a job as a wide midfielder, he's not a midfielder, he does all his good work in the final third and you must get the ball to him early in those positions otherwise he's too often a passenger for me; but he can be devastating at times as part of a forward three. Borini's work rate is superb and he has more natural talent than Jozy. I hope Jozy proves me wrong but in both pre-season and the early matches he seems to get the ball stuck under his feet and need that extra second to think. Again, hopefully, its just a matter of adjusting to the quicker game here but Borini has that natural athleticism and defter touch that could make him a real favorite here. Tough one to chose as the holding midfielder especially after how good Cabral looked in the first match but Colback deserves to start every match. The most underrated player at Sunderland by a country mile for me. Left back, right back, centre mid and left side of midfield he rarely puts a foot wrong but because he's not spectacular (unlike Sess, who's spectacular play usually ended up with zero output) he attracts negative criticism. He's got such a good footballer's brain that i think hes wasted at left back. Contrary to popular belief he has plenty goals in him if he's allowed to get forward, unfortunately Bruce was so negligent in his use of him and MON so negative overall in his team set up, that Colback's never had the chance to shine for us in midfield but I believe PDCs staff could help him do just that. He's every bit as good a player as Henderson who people seem to be realising now is a very good player (although someone needs to tell Roy Hodgson - how can you give Barkley a WC qualifying game, regardless of how good a player he looks, on the basis of 16 Prem Lge games versus 140 premier league games for Hendo who hasnt been called up? Bizarre). Jack Wilshire can play very well and plays a nice ball forward and looks a good player but for all you Colback haters (including those who have an anti-Colback tagline on your profile of which you should be ashamed) I would love to see how well Wilshire would have played in the struggling team we've had at SAFC for the last 2 seasons and equally would love to know how well Colback would be had he played in Arsenals team for the last two seasons. Rant over
Absolutely spot on! There are some former Colback haters who sit near me who have slowly been "converted"
Glad you got that out of your system! Now get your breathe back. JC is going to prove a lot of people wrong this season (I just hope PDC doesn't send him out on loan - unlikely but weirder things have happened). He'll impress, then we'll lose him to a top 5 club next summer. You heard it hear first.
-------------Mannone Celutska Diakite Wes Dossena ------------Cabral Catts----- Giaccherini ----Ki---------Johnson --------------Fletcher
Mannone?? Also Ki has been brought in to play cm so I'd be very surprised to see him behind Fletch Also Altidore and Fletcher look like they'll be starting together
