Topless darts is more popular than baseball? Get away with ya, you're having a laugh!

Here's one - I went to watch a game once at Costello.

Didn't make it through the whole match though. The most boring thing I have ever watched, even more boring than watching paint dry, grass grow and Adam Sandler films.

That's right, but there are plenty of other regional or sports with limited appeal that are included. How many countries play hockey at high level, or have equestrian sports for example?

Spot on, baseball isn't globally popular nor does it have universal appeal, but neither of those are pre-requisites to be included in the Olympics as many of the current Olympic events can testify.

I saw L.A. Angels play at Anaheim, once - 1991, I think - but dunno who against. Gradually understood what was happening.

The best things were the peanut/popcorn sellers and that's about it.......

Hockey is played by a surprising amount of countries, it's even the national sport of India and Pakistan.

    True.

I was recently listening to some horse event bod on t'wireless (could have been Pippa Funnel), talking about the countries that take part in that sport. I was very surprised to be honest.

I have no idea how they decide what sports should be in the modern Olympics - it makes no sense to me. Tennis and badminton in, but not squash. Archery in, but no darts. Taekwondo and wrestling in, but no karate. Fencing in but no pugil stick twatting.

No rhyme or reason to it IMO

India doesn't have an official national sport (although hockey is huge over there), your right about Pakistan though.
