We should be getting Sissoko to make more of these runs off the ball. His pace in open space is scary.

He's not that skillful, but if he knocks it round someone, chances are he will rape them for pace.

Do you mind not using the word rape? It's a very offensive term.

This is what happens when you give Sissoko room to run from deep rather than playing him at the front. Give the opposition defenders some other decent players to worry about like Remy, and watch Sissoko get some pace to tear the opposition a new one.

I understand where your coming from but its not offensive in the context he's using it in tbf. Im sure he wouldnt have said it if he thought anyone (even the fulham defender) would have took offence and im not sure anyone would!

I know someone who has been through the ordeal, I know what it took to get them anywhere near approaching the term "through it", and I don't particularly appreciate being reminded of it for the sake of people trying to use the most outrageous word possible for "comic effect". Having said that, Tash is a young chap whose been subjected to media and social outlets which condition the term with no real meaning, and having no experience of the pain or anybody else's, it's up to him how he uses it. I can simply x down his thread.

Life can be a struggle for the victims of sexual abuse, that's why I kill them after I'm finished! - A popular rape joke.

The way I deal with it? Maintain low expectations of your fellow man and seldom will you feel emotionally effected by the words of others. I've seen far worse than rape jokes.

No it isn't in the context Tash is using it. If he posted a pic of a woman and he posted "I'd like to rape her", that would be offensive.

I'm afraid some of our lady posters have found Tash's language a bit offensive in the past and stopped posting on the forum. How long is it since you saw any of them using the forum?

It's a bit nonsensical to tell someone that you've offended with your language that the language is not offensive. As it has caused offense, obviously it is.

You could say that the listener is unreasonably sensitive and that no ordinary person would be offended. In the current case, however, I think you'd be wrong. Most of he world still reacts strongly to that term. As they should - - I hope it never gets used to the point where it loses emotional impact.

Getting back to the OP. Tash, how can you tell how fast he is running in it? There is no point of reference. He knocks the ball past someone who then stands still. There is no one running alongside him to make a comparison. Now the Ashley Cole clip that does show how fast he is so you are correct just wrong clip.

I think most of us would like to see him come from a deeper position and use that pace to run into space.

If you're offended by a word used for a crime, used in innocent context then it's your own problem and don't whinge about your feeble minded grievance to anybody who isn't a complete idiot, it is annoying.
