Must be in the wrong mood, but I thought that was a bit meh. I know I grinned once, but there was no danger of an underwear change.
I thought the line about Adkins and inspirational poetry was funny, but other than that it was just a bit TOO silly.
I too din't find it that funny but i did laugh at the picture of the baby, think it was a bit over the top to be honest.
One element that strikes me as true....do you think it is a coincidence that all of Rickie's rivals for the England role have met mysterious accidents (taps side of nose). I detect the fell hand of Don Cortese.
I liked the line about being on the bench not expected to play but due to injuries etc he came on. Good satire on the England situation. I like his writing, he is very funny, but of a style. If he keeps it up and doesn't vary it his writing will lose effect.
