The s**t stirring begins , he has been rather quiet lately has Bayram Tutumlu and left with a bloody nose in the summer so maybe revenge time or just more bulls**t by the press .
    Michael Regan
Michael Laudrup and Gus Poyet are among a list of managers drawn up by Portuguese club Benfica.

They handed boss Jorge Jesus a new two-year contract in the summer, despite a disastrous run that saw them lose two cup finals and miss out on the league title. But sources close to Benfica claim *contingency plans have been *discussed if Jesus cannot turnaround last season’s collapse.

Swansea boss Laudrup features prominently among Benfica’s *potential successors for Jesus, while Poyet’s current availability has been noted.

Benfica have won, drawn and lost their opening three games and it *remains to be seen how long Jesus will be given.

Laudrup has agreed a truce with Swansea owner Huw Jenkins, following a turbulent start to the summer that saw the Welsh club cut ties with the manager’s agent Bayram Tutumlu. He has close links to *Benfica, and he and Laudrup went to watch the Portuguese club play *Sporting Lisbon last season.

Laudrup, who has a £10million *release clause in his contract, was *approached to take over at Benfica in 2008 by director of football Rui Costa. Poyet, sacked by Brighton in June, is the bookies’ favourite to succeed Alan Pardew at Newcastle.

You've hit the nail on the head straight away there Bony. ML won't go anywhere, especially after us splashing the cash and bringing in the players he wanted. He would lose all credibility if he went and he's much too intelligent a man to even think about it. He's building his stock with us at the moment and did the right thing by staying out of the nonsense with his agent and the club. He won't want to let his players down either, people like Michu and Poz only came here because of him.
All he has to do is continue to build and progress with us and sooner or later a very big club will come calling and we'll have to wish him all the best. I wouldn't be surprised to one day seeing him being at a huge club like Barca, Real or even a big Prem club like Man City or Arsenal

Can easily see him replacing Wenger at the Emirates if he decided to leave at the end of the season <ok>

It's a no news day with a decent european club looking for a manager so let's link Michael Laudrup with the job to add some spice to a non story.
    Typical tabloids

Would we still give our well wishes if he went to Arsenal taking Michu with him?

He will go at some point, and as he brought Michu to us for a song, I would have no qualms about him taking him away from us for 20 million :D

Laudrup has already turned down bigger clubs than Benfica. Won't happen.

never say never, we don't know what's on offer, who has he turned down bigger by the way???? nobody has made him any firm offers as far as i'm aware. I just leave it run its course and if he stays or goes i don't care just like i did not care when martinez or rodgers left. its not the end of the world...

NJ stop baiting. I know its a hobby of yours now the nights are drawing in but it is against the rules , mate <ok>

Dai: Laudrup has publicly stated that he's turned down CL teams to stay at the Swans. The CL teams he was linked with were all bigger clubs. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
