This! About 5 weeks into that season, it became clear that all the coverage he got being a premiership manager just fed his ego beyond return. When he comes out with his strange metaphors, it's so clearly pre-meditated and just boring nowadays. I don't dislike Palace because I like that they've got a great academy and will create some good English players, but holloway makes me want them to go down more than any other team in this league.
Bet the chairman and co-owners love him coming out with that story. wonder how much they might give him come next transfer window (probably a lot less than before the article went in the press). His competence is certainly questionable – this being a case in point. However, he does seem to have an ability to motivate teams beyond their capabilities and all in all, I have nothing against him. If he wasn`t managing a rival, I’d be indifferent towards him. I may be proved wrong but his glut of signings all seem to be of Championship standard, or there or thereabouts. Their fans seem really twatty though and I hold that against CP rather than being anti Holloway as such.
