If it was the other way around ie a British fighter on the wrong end of the decision (as in Lewis vs Holyfield) the arena would have been in uproar. I can't understand how 1 judge gave it to burns by 3 points. Working it out he must have had burns winning 8 rounds if you consider Beltram had a knock down aswell. Am always disappointed in boxing when this happens
Judges bring boxing into disrepute with decisions like that. Are they held accountable for their pathetic judging?
They should be fined and or banned for getting it so wrong. Shocking decision, if I was a betting man id have stuck a tenner on Beltran to win, glad I didn't know as id be foaming. Anyway the real boxing is next week.
Should instantly offer a rematch. Boxing politics may get in the way due to mandatory challengers etc but this bloke deserves another crack at the title. He must be absolutely gutted cos he knows he won that fight. I probably would have hit the judges.
Aye and not in Burns' home town! As IMHO that's was why Burns got the draw couldn't give him an outright win as that would have been to much!
