He is, but if he has a fairly good season Cortese et al will probably use that to cash him in, rather than work him back into the fold.

Now, if he sets the world alight (and there isn't a clause in the deal to allow Sochaux to buy him) we might perhaps see him get another chance, but it would seem unlikely.

It won't be with Saints then. He's not coming back to the club.

But when he initially went on loan to Tokyo he was due to arrive back in june, and the club statement suggested he was coming back with then intention of having a pre-season. he did not have a pre-season. Why?

Who initiated the Mayuka loan? I thought it was the club but his words on the BBC article suggested he wanted to leave to get game time "the club were very understanding" etc. Perhaps Lee is only back to fill Mayuka's void until we can get in a new player in Jan.

Apart from the goal in the league I seem to remember Lee got 3 or 4 assists. He set up the Lambert goal in that epic 1-0 win at Elland Road with a cushioned header for Lambert to slam home on the volley. He didn't play many times at all to be fair to him. We never actually lost a league game he made an appearance in.

It can't have escaped everyone's notice that not only is Lee in the 25, but also is Sharp, Forte, Barnard, and sharpshooter 11's old friend Aaron Martin. None of youngersters need be included in the 25.

Like I said Lee didn't hardly played at FC Tokyo(if at all) then had a go at the manager for not playing him. He is on crazy money for his ability so doubt very much anyone will be in for him. We are short of players that can play in the 3 so Lee will be back up unyil Jan when we buy someone else.

Yeah I agree he has very good movement of the ball, you never know he might be more of a winger!

Lee was an exciting looking player in the NPC when I watched him. His movement was good and he could play the give and go game well. Think he would be a good back up but nothing more. Don't think he is quite strong enough for the prem

Couple of times you've dropped that in now CBK; you heard/know/been told something?

I always wanted him to do well, and he did when he got a run of games, originally keeping Sharp out the side. I always thought he would fit into MP's style of play as he is more direct in his play in terms of willing to run at defences. He always seemed to be trying to make runs, but no-one would play it through to him. Would like to see him back, even if only as another option.

Think it's just his natural optimism shining through.

I'd rather stick Isgrove on the bench then Lee. Isgrove has more chance at a future at Southampton and is probably a better player anyway.
