I don't take anything that Given says as serious since he buggered off up the road to the Mags after Peter Reid signed him from total obscurity. On the face of it I think we look pretty screwed at centre half - Diakite has looked awful so far and O'Shea to me has improved over recent weeks until the sending off incident. Overall O'Shea is a shadow of the player he was at United. Lets really hope that Brown gets fit soon, Roberge can impress everybody and Cuellar can get back to form.
Its all getting a bit predictable now with these journalists . They must wake up in the morning and think , I wonder how I can manipulate an interview so PDC gets a kicking .
I think he's been hit and miss which I hate to say as we've only had 4 games and he's played less than that. However I can see the quality and I'm sure he'll be fine after he's settled. Hope it clicks for Arsenal as I have some reservations about playing the two lads together so soon against a top attacking team. Never know though, a baptism of fire for that particular pairing might be what they need.
