Love him or hate him , were gonna love him <again>
If he keeps doing that crazy **** with his feet, and not the crazy **** with his mouth, he'll be more than welcomed back into the fold, then next year he should have that Champion's League football he's been banging on about all summer.
"What happened (in the summer) was just a nightmare. It had all been a dream" - Dan Ackroyd as Louis Winthrop III in Trading Places
For some that may well be the case. The consensus on this board seems to be that we love the player but don't respect the man. Some would like us to sell him in the Summer. Others would like him out even sooner. A lot of us don't really know how we are going to feel if he comes back and starts scoring goals for fun because if he does do then even higher than 4th could well be on this season. I do know that for the majority of us, the relationship will never be the same again.
****ing awesome. Love Batman. Gordon: The people will lose hope. Batman: They won't. They must never know what he did. Gordon: Five dead. Two of them cops. You can't sweep that up. Batman: But the joker cannot win. Gotham needs its true hero. Gordon: No. Batman: You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I can do those things, because I'm not a hero. I'm not Dent. I killed those people. That's what I can be. Gordon: No. No, you can't, you're not. Batman: I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be. Call it in. Gordon (sometime in the future addressing a crowd from City Hall): A hero. Not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed. Nothing less than a knight. Shining. Gordon: They'll hunt you. The Batman: You'll hunt me. You'll condemn me. Set the dogs on me. Because that's what needs to happen. Because sometimes, truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve, to have their faith rewarded. Gordon's son: Batman! Batman! Why's he running Dad? Gordon: Because we have to chase him. Cop: OK, we're going in! Go! Go! Move! Gordon's son: He didn't do anything wrong. Gordon: Because he's the hero Gotham deserves. But not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him, because he can take it, because he's not a hero, he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a dark knight.
That's great! One little point to add - I love how Skrtel is always first to jump on the goal scorer, noticed it last week as well when Sturridge scored and it's one reason why I don't want Skrtel to leave - he's committed to the cause! As for Suarez my opinion hasn't changed. He's a product of his environment and will do what it takes to win. We all knew he came with baggage and he's added to it - that shouldn't be surprising. I'm not sure I like the love-hate, love-hate roundabout some are on.
That's quite a pragmatic stance that you are putting forward. There is a difference between knowing what Suarez has done before and accepting his actions since he's been here. The loyalty that was displayed towards him during the Evra affair followed by the almost acceptance of the biting incident by both the club and the fans did deserve a better level of conduct pre-season. When Suarez purposely chose confrontation regarding Madrid and CL football this was taken not just as being disloyal but also as a sign of dis-respect. We are now in very strange territory. None of us know when he will demand to move again (it could be as early as January). Suarez himself has made no statements to the fans regarding his intentions. Therefore the love-hate roundabout is a fact of life that Suarez will have to live with. It is one of his own making. I don't know how I'll feel when he does return but I'm certain that I no longer trust him and will never accept him as a true red.
I'm looking forward to the day he is gone. I can't imagine what he would have to do to change my mind. It would have to be on the level of winning us the prem 3 years running. I will cheers when he scores, but only because Liverpool has another goal, nothing to do with him.
