I have to agree with most peoples arguements for what is wrong, grass roots, old school ties etc etc etc Club before country really pisses me off, why dont the england camp decide who's fit or not?
Pretty much summed it up for me there. Can't stand the BBC & what love I ever had for England has pretty much disappeared over the last couple of years to the extent that I pretty much see the place as no more than a giant floating turd just off mainland Europe.
**** England and what about this so called talent that sign big money contracts with the likes of Chelsea etc then they sit on the bench (if they make the bench) and possibly they may go on loan. Some of them are happy to be also rans as long as there is a nice little earner the football side of it does not matter. That's what that simple t**t dyke should be trying to address along with the "spice boy" culture within the England squad.
We shouldn't even enter the 2022 world cup. The sweet f a should be fighting to get it moved, this might meen the bungs have to be returned by Fat Blatter and co.
yeah i keep them there until they stink and get very titchy about all subjects and then i fukc them off to france
Got to agree with most of the comments on here, the more you read what pundits say, both Sky and BBC and now the FA through that tit Dyke then it is clear to me we have to adopt a siege mentality for this season and hope and pray we can pull it off and finish in a respectable position. As for the FA can anyone tell me what they have done for our club over the past fifty years that I have been supporting the lads, well I can tell you absolutely nothing. I think this all stems from our run in with the FA in the fifties, they have never forgotten as can be seen in the disgraceful overlooking of such players as Clough, SKP et al. It took Colin Todd, and Dave Watson to move to other clubs before they became regular players for England. Country before club NEVER.
I don't have any particular problem with anything Dyke said, in fact I agree with a lot of it, and I don't see it as an attack on SAFC. Thing is though, there are too many foreigners in our game and it is harming the national team - but the FA only have themselves and the PL to blame for this situation ! The Premier League was set up to make the biggest clubs richer and more powerful - not for the benefit of the game as a whole. The advent of the PL and the Champions League has resulted in the likes of Manure, Chelsea etc getting further and further away from the rest of the clubs, and the money involved means chairmen are ever more fearful of relegation. The FA weren't complaining when the likes of Zola etc started arriving here and the PL took off - speeding up the influx of foreigners; all they were concerned about was having the supposed "Best League in the world", the global "brand" and the cash it was generating. Consequently more and more foreigners have been arriving, limiting opportunities for British players and inflating the value of them in the process. Look at how much Graham cost us compared with the foreigners we've bought, as an example ! This means that clubs like ourselves have been forced to look further and further afield to try and compete in the league, and the vicious cycle continues.
i have no time for the muppets in the fa. i don't know what they do in all reality. how about a public review of how they operate, who does what, what it all costs so those who really give a **** about english youth and football can have their say? grass roots is a problem, as is the appalling ability of english players to make it, or at least have a try/stint, of playing abroad. our youth may develop better skills - football and social - if that was cultivated. as opposed to some ****er fat cat dictating off his soap box. i hope the twat slips, falls off and breaks his neck.
If they want us to overlook foreign players in favour of English, should this extend outside of football also?
FFS, they appointed a non-English speaking Italian to manage the bloody team ...... how hypocritical can these knackers get!!!!!!!!!!
Did anybody who is slating him actually hear/read the full speech? He said exactly the same things as everyone on here - grass roots is the problem, pitches too big for youngsters to develop technique, not enough grassroots coaching, not enough players trying their hand abroad, etc...
Then maybe he should pull his fingers out of his arse and get his own house in order instead of slagging off the club who played the pivotal role in the development of England's brightest talent Danny Welbeck. It was us who took the chance and gave him first team Premiership football. In fact we've constantly loaned and developed other teams international talent when the parent clubs have refused to take the chance. Watch for Danny Rose's international call up that will come this season. Any gratitude for all those chances we've taken? Not a scrap.
