Sums up the ****ing city in general

Heads in the sand, **** progress, **** jobs, **** better facilities, **** making the city a venue that popular acts want to appear in.

Install more traffic lights, create cycle lanes that under 1% use, penalise the motorists even more, slow down traffic that doesn't move now.

Make every journey into or through Bristol a real ordeal which it is.

And our Lord Mayor, ****ing tosser that he is, condones and actually wants this sort of ****

****ing shameful all of it from start to finish

Deny the blue few their stadium next for a full house

    Job done !

I guess the bigger picture was staging concerts and the like, can see all that going to the Rovers stadium due to the motorway links etc.
But I suspect UWE would be the ones that benefit from this, as they technically own the stadium rights. Before Gasheads jump down my throat, would you seriously not want to cash in on these events I guess UWE are not that stupid to give Rovers the rights to that sort of thing, if i was negotiating the deal i would of made sure i had that in it. But I could be wrong so don't post we own it blah blah.
Maybe SL is looking at a redevelopment that includes a full fit on Dolman and Atyeo in the future.

Only if Steve Lansdown and his business partners [if any now] wish it to be. Steve Lansdown initially wanted to build houses on the site and a stadium. If this occurs Mr Lansdown will still make a lot of money.

The local opposition groups, residents etc still have lost half the former green space.

Houses or football stadium Steve L will do very nicely out of it.

I hope there are plenty of low level housing they will love that.

A few spoil it for the majority,Bristol council are one big joke, ambition what ambition as Mr Hargreaves once said.

Bristol City council used tax players money to support Steve Lansdown, sold land under market value and granted his project planning permission.

The majority of Bristol don't care. The majority living in the area in question have voted in Councillors who are opposed to development on green belt land.

Thats because the majority in that area couldn't be bothered to get off their backsides and vote for anyone which is why you get berks in the council

    Bang on the money.

Every day it seems there are complaints in the post/net about our so called councillors and particularly George Ferguson, yet at the election there was something like a 22% turn out, talk about the horse having bolted.

Apathy is what is also partly to blame for our city being held back, if you want something done get of your ass and do it.
