Just been asked by 3 different English friends if I'm watching the England international match , " no thanks " is the polite reply , followed each time by them saying " but you love football " " yes but im welsh !!!! " is the reply
Have no interest in watching England , France , Australia , etc play unless they are playing Wales , don't care if england win , lose, draw or don't turn up because of a in growing toe nail

I get it from the Germans, the look on their faces when I say I don't give a rats arse for the German national team is priceless.

It seems a lot of Welsh people think the same about the Welsh national team too!

I still go to matches when I can. I don't understand people who only watch teams that win all the time.

As a fan of football I try to watch as much as I can, but saying that I wouldn't exactly call it watching football when England are playing! I try but usually get bored and turn off.

I have the attention span of a goldfish , love watching Cardiff ( obviously ) and Wales play, but I struggle with watching a full 90 mins if I dont have a interest in the teams playing , gets worse the older I get , many more interesting things to do and normally work gets in the way of watching football on telly anyway

    Taff,
I get somehtign similar when they ask me why I don´t speak German after living in the country so long....and I tell them ´coz we won the war´!!!! Luckily, German minign engineers are like everywhere else and see the funny side plus they then understand I am based in Germany but am not here too often and when I am, I speak Russian!!!!!
Then again, they were very considerate when they lost to Croatia once and also Spain recently.....they let said nationalities drive, cylce and run around for horus waving flags and blowing horns without getting upset.
